UPDATE: the deputy manager Josh reached out to me after my review and arranged for some compensation, and myself and my partner returned there tonight for dinner and drinks. this time round our experience was very pleasant, quick and friendly service, good food and good drinks! couldn't have asked for more on this visit, and clearly we just got unlucky with our bottomless brunch. After our visit today would happily recommend to others! Really disappointing bottomless brunch. Chef was lovely but that was about it. The two bar staff made us feel like we were a burden and should not be ordering drinks, or even be there in the first place. They clearly did not want to be there and took it out on us, rude and no reason at all for it. No table service at all, had to go and order our drinks, and then collect them from the bar as they were 'too busy' at 1230 with only 4 other tables in. They were moody, and when we complained our order was wrong, the waitress argued about what we had ordered rather than offering to correct it (menu said it came with nachos and no nachos came) Food came out cold as the wait staff had just let it sit. Drinks were always delayed, and rather than them being bought to our table (as we were told they would be) we had to go and ask for them and then collect them. When we complained to a manager, they half listed, but dismissed how we had been made to feel and no offer of compensation or anything else as way of apology. They then forgot to take our deposit off payment and we had more aggro about that. Overall staff damped the visit and we would not go again. Very disappointing, wanted a lovely afternoon and instead just had stress, staff did not seem trained or prepared, despite us pre-booking and a limited menu. (As a waitress myself I understand the struggles of hospitality, but there was no excuse for the bad service and attitude we received). Go elsewhere if you want a nice, stress free brunch. More...

they seriously considered charging £25 entry fee, per person to watch a football game you can watch for free at home, as a way to thank their loyal customers for keeping them busy after COVID had them close their doors for the best part of a year. They then made every effort possible to delete their post and all comments referring to it! I personally think their food is overpriced and found the atmosphere dry and uninviting. they obviously have a "type of person" they prefer in their establishment, so if you're over 25 years old, with no children and like the idea of spending money to just be in their company 👍🏽 go for it! If looking for something other than the hum drum hotels/Airbnb then try this place out. Very stylish and the boutique rooms are amazing especially the copper room. The bath is amazing. Stayed about 10 times now. Pub is one of the best in Aylesbury Abbas great food as well. Great place !!!! More...
