Q&As

While factors such as composition and lighting pay a huge role in getting a great shot, I personally like to focus on capturing those special candid moments! They showcase pure natural emotions and that to me can become beautiful memories for people!

This can vary depending on the project itself, however on a general note I like to ask the client about what ideas they've got in mind, if they've worked on something similar before and ideally what would their time frame and budget be.

With each project I tackle, I always start off with research. From looking into and comparing competitors, to current design trends and ideas, I always spend a good amount of time exploring, brainstorming and moodboarding as I go along. This naturally leads to initiating a range of concepts, which I'd sketch out and thumbnail first-at this stage it's about quantity, not necessarily quality! After jotting down all ideas, I'd now start to narrow down the concepts to those that are working best, improving and tweaking as I go along. Once I'm left with at least 3 strong approaches to the brief, I'd then take it digitally, always referring back to my thumbnails and research, keeping the client updated along the way, whilst also taking in any additional feedback of theirs to incorporate into the designs.

- Is the client working to a budget?
- Who is the target audience? What/who will I be designing for?
- What overall message is the client aiming to get across?
- The specs of the project: dimensions, colours etc.
- Estimated deadline for project.
- Any creative direction from the client? E.g, colours, fonts, other specific designs (will I need to design to match an existing brand of the client's?)

I love how I have the freedom to explore a range of creative ideas and processes for all different projects. Even if I'm constantly given logo designs, each one will have a different mood and style, resulting in contrasting final pieces!
