What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The top 3 secrets to a great picture in my opinion are.
Composition: The way I arrange the elements within my frame can make or break a photograph.
Lighting: The quality and direction of light can dramatically affect the mood and atmosphere of a photograph. Understanding how to use natural and artificial light is an advantage I have that is essential for creating dynamic and visually interesting images.
Timing: Capturing a moment at just the right time can turn an ordinary image into something truly special. This requires anticipation, patience, and a willingness to take risks and experiment with different approaches.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
1) What do you want to get out of this experience.
2)What is the emotion or feeling you are trying to portray.
3) Do you have reference Images.
4) Who will be attending this session.
What do you love most about your job?
I love photography because there’s always the chance I’ll leave a session at the end of the day having photographed my new favourite photo in my portfolio. The excitement of never knowing what you will come out with after a session is what keeps me loving this job!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started a business for personal freedom. To wake up every morning and do what I love most. I also wanted to be my own boss and do what I like without having been told what and where to do something.
