I’d like to acknowledge the high level of service provided by Sylvian Care including the Manager. The hard work, care and attention to detail shown by the carers is exceptional, and I have already seen the positive impact this has had on my Mum. She is very relaxed, happy and is communicating more. My Mum is quite a sensitive person and responds positively when she is shown kindness and attention; which is what she has experienced since the start of her package with Sylvian care. The carers have also highlighted issues that have not been picked up previously, which is very reassuring. I also really love the Birdie app, which details each visit. I can see what she’s eaten and her mood and meditation taken etc., which is really important for me to have access to this information. I’m also informed promptly if there are any issues. Please keep you loved ones safe and away from carers from Sylvian care. My father was unhappy with carers from this company named Irina and Poenaru. We investigated and discovered these two women were emotionally abusing my father and neglecting his care needs. My father is a fragile old man, age 90 and these two women took advantage of his vulnerability and bullied him. The carers did not respect my father's dignity, privacy and emotionally abused him. I had my family member looked after by SylvianCare Reading & Wokingham for over 5 years. I must admit I was always impressed about the staff professionalism and knowledge. Office team very helpful and finding solutions even on weekends, holidays etc. I admire their team Chris, Paul, Tina, Mary and Glynnis! You are always answered and given a choice and best treatment. The team was always involved and absolutely amazing during Covid. They have managed everything with top class ! I have also had the chance to speak and meet few times the CEO’s of the company Mr Sylvian and Cristine , always there for us and very open and transparent , both very professional and compassionate about this care business. My mother has been using Sylvian care, since she came out of hospital following a stroke in July 2017, she/we find all the carers, and other staff, are all very helpful, and cheerful and understanding of her needs, they work to a very high standard and although on a understandable busy timetable, they find the time to chat and not rush things, which makes things run much easier, at what at some times can be a very stressful situation.

Whilst many people may only require support at certain times during the day such as mealtimes or alternatively for certain activities such as washing or dressing, for some the need for care is more acute. Recognising this need SylvianCare offer a Managed Live In Care service. As the title suggests our care staff, under this service, will live in the client’s home providing 24/7 care. Our trained carers will manage all the personal and domestic needs of their clients.
We recognize that a ‘one size fits all’ approach to our clients’ needs would restrict what we can do. That is why we try to tailor every aspect of our service to achieving the best possible outcome for our clients and those who are close to them. Our Live-In Carers can provide consistency and flexibility of routine unlike home care domiciliary visits or care homes and can be a cost effective alternative to residential care.
Home care
f you’re finding it difficult to carry out personal care routines – such as washing or dressing – home care can provide the support you need to stay safe and independent in your own home.
Whilst this sector of care is all classed under the same heading, our service is always tailored to meet the individual needs of each of our clients. The support that we offer under Home Care covers different aspects such as practical home help, personal care, medication administration.
Night care
Whilst our day care service may provide assistance with our client’s bedtime routine some people’s primary need for care may be during the night. Often it is during the hours of darkness that people feel most vulnerable. A member of the SylvianCare team will be available to provide any support required. This can range from help with toileting, changing of clothing and bed linen in the case of an unfortunate accident and a morning wake up service.
In addition, our clients welcome the fact that someone else is in the house overnight, allowing them peace of mind and an undisturbed night’s sleep.
Reablement
Has your loved one have a fall or a short illness that required hospitalisation? Do you feel under pressure having to care for them yourself or arranging care? Sylviancare offers temporary care for up to six weeks to help your relative get back on their feet giving you that peace of mind that they are cared for by professional trained carers while you can get on with your own pressures and responsibilities.
End of life care
End of life care covers physical, emotional and social needs. It helps people approaching the end of their lives to live as well as possible in the time remaining. We work to support you and your family with personalised and comforting end-of-life care.
