The best teacher we've ever found! Firstly, Ruta's experience and overall knowledge about swimming is incredible - no one can beat the teacher coming from professional swimming environment. Both my boys have been swimming with her for the last 6 months, she is an extremely impressive teacher and a lovely person so we are very keen to continue our lessons with her in the future. Ruta have been very engaging, very clear, and fun and I have watched the children progress under her tutelage, she is simply fantastic!
First of all she taught my eldest son who has various learning difficulties and provided such encouragement and patience and fun that he absolutely loved it, and he made such good progress considering his significant dyspraxia amongst other barriers.
My youngest son has been also swimming with Ruta for 6 months now, and he is just steaming ahead. The teacher keeps that cheeky boy on track, pushes him nicely, laughs with him, encourages him with a lot of passion and creativity – the whole experience of learning swimming has been brilliant. Ruta has drastically changed my perspective about swimming as a sport, and I came to appreciate its effect on my physical and mental wellbeing. She has a deep understanding of technique and makes each session stimulating and fun!I feel more confident approaching a body of water now,I get safety tips and improvement feedback and I am amazed with the difference I notice in my performance,since I started working on breathing properly both in and out of water.I leave the swimming pool knackered but smiling,so what's not to like?

Ruta was conveniently located close to Beckenham Spa although works most of the time in Chelsea/South Ken. I found Ruta to be extremely flexible making herself available around my diary but also at short notice. Ruta is easy to get on with and has a warm personality. Ruta will either teach from the side of the pool although prefers to be in the pool assisting you more directly. I choose the latter approach and I believe this to be a much better way of teaching. I found it easy to pick up the steps in the stroke I was learning as Ruta tailored the lesson around my specific needs. I had 6 lessons with Ruta and am very happy with the results. At the beginning I had 0 confidence when it comes to swimming and would generally avoid it. I’ve now joined my local swimming pool and can easily swim even in the deep end without worrying I’ll drown. Ruta has been very supportive and patient with me taking things one step at a time and always encouraging me to push my limits. Ruta coaches our 12 year old daughter (who is an enthusiastic club swimmer). She always makes sessions interesting and inspiring, has real recent competition experience (unlike most club coaches), and has a real love for passing-on her valuable lessons. Makes a real difference to the ‘same old’ sessions club coaching provides. Prefers to be in the water rather than teaching from poolside. Our daughter loves her sessions with Ruta.
