Every Tuesday we go open water swimming where we are greated by Fraser, before our swim he tells us our options so we can decide during our swim. By the time we have finished we can smell the amazing burgers or kebabs he has cooking for us. He does a terrific range of food from veggie burgers to chicken, also with a range of salads. We had Fraser and the Sussex Spit Roast team cater for our Sunday recovery BBQ the day after our wedding. They were extremely professional, friendly and efficient from the very beginning when we discussed menu options. Nothing is too much of an ask for Fraser and he tailored the menu to our needs. Professional, on time, friendly and absolutely beautiful food provided! The whole experience with Sussex Spit Roast was a breeze from start (getting a quote and having a taster session) to finish. Sussex spit roast provided canapés and grand scale BBQ for our wedding 9 September. Fraser and Annie have been great professionals throughout our entire time with dealing with them from inviting us to their production cafe to try and choose our canapés through to leaving my mother in laws kitchen in a spotless state after using it for cooking 900 canapés for 150 people on the day! The main BBQ was pure quality and they really bought into our idea of sharing platters and made this work fantastically! On the day it couldn't have rained more but the staff were incredible, smiley and seemed to not stop. Sussex Spit Roast catered our wedding in August 2017 at Rumbolds Farm and did a fantastic job!! Fraser is a really talented chef and his parter Annie is incredibly organised and helpful in every way. We were so relieved to know everything was in their hands on the day and the food was great value and all absolutely delicious – we had canapés and reception drinks, barbecue food served family-style (pulled pork, salads, Fraser’s amazing homemade bbq sauces), and then we also opted for their bar service in the evening. Annie and Fraser were really patient and accommodating as we decided on our menu – e.g. sourcing mini bagels for me as a canapé, adding our idea of fried mac and cheese balls to the main, which were AMAZING. On the day they did a great job of catering smoothly for 110 people, and also really went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly, and took care of so many little extra things for us – refilling ice in beer buckets, serving wedding cake etc. We’re really happy we chose Sussex Spit Roast – it was exactly the food and service we were looking for and we'd highly recommend them. I booked Sussex Spit Roast for my 50th birthday party; Fraser & Annie couldn't have been any more helpful on the build up . They always answered emails quickly and were able to cater easily for Gluten Free and vegetarians. In terms of the quality of the food on the night, it was amazing especially the pulled pork and the burgers. Annie and Fraser catered for our wedding in September 2017 and it was amazing. They made the whole process so easy and were willing to help in every way.

The food was delicious and EVERYONE has commented since. We had GF and normal pies for guests and pulled pork buns. The GF was as good as everything else and I want to do it all over again so I can eat more of the amazing food. Would highly recommend and will use them for any event we have in the future.

Both Fraser and Annie were very accommodating and we could choose many options from a variety of dishes. They invited us for a tasting session and were happy to make any changes. We recently hired Annie and Fraser to cater our wedding. We knew we wanted a hog roast from the outset and spoke to a number of companies but Annie's personal touch and their flexibility in making the dinner and drink service exactly what we wanted for our special day put them head and shoulders above any of the others.

I really can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to work with these two, how great the food was or how lovely the staff they hired for the food and bar service was. Absolutely hands down the best hog roast I've ever had! After missing out on the hog at my own wedding we decided we wanted to go for it again for our leaving do with family and close friends. We contacted a number of firms but wanted to support local so went with Sussex Spit Roast.
