Can't thank Catherine enough for the work she's done with our 8 year son, after feeling let down by the local authority and being passed pillow to post to find they couldn't help as the waiting list was to long for our son. We were given Catherine's name, from the moment of speaking to Catherine on the phone I could hear the love and passion in her voice about her job and helping others, that I knew she was the one to help us, he's come on so much and I can't thank Catherine enough for all her work with him, Would highly recommend Catherine so kind and thoughtful x More...

Q&As

Whilst there are times when work can be challenging, I always tell my clients no matter the age, when they come to therapy we work as a team. Together, starting from the beginning, I help them gain knowledge and insight into the skills that are required to start building on their emotional health and well being. To see the challenges that some people face and overcome through therapy, to see those 'light bulb moments' is so rewarding, I feel very privileged to be a part of their therapy journey. Helping clients make the steps needed to ultimately achieve their long term goal.

Previously working for the NHS I decided to set up working privately as I felt that due to waiting targets and service demands, I was unable to give clients the time and quality they deserved. I believe in offering a quality service and therefore giving people the time and space required to start exploring any difficulties they might be experiencing, challenging negative thoughts, feelings or behaviours in a safe and confidential environment.

Passionate about being able to deliver quality, I recognised the niche for developing a specialist talking therapies service, accessible to children, young people and adults.  A service available to deliver evidence based outcomes within a timely manner, as a result, I decided to take the initiative to set up Sunflower Cognitive Therapies.
I am open and honest and I will spend time helping you to understand the presenting difficulties.  Alongside, I have developed good communication skills and knowledge to support and work with families and other professionals alike.

Services can be provided both face to face or online as required.

Online services are now available if clients wish to access therapy remotely.

Services

Using a Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic approach, clients are provided a safe environment where they can work on any current presenting problems they maybe facing.

Exploring thoughts, feelings and behaviours, together the therapist would then help the client to reframe how they think and respond to situations to develop a more positive outcome.
