Been struggling with my feet, plantar fasciitis, for nearly a year. I was recommended to try Bowen by a friend. So I got into contact with Jo and within a couple of weeks I’m back to my old self! It’s like a miracle! Can’t recommend Jo highly enough. Thank You Jo x More...

I met Jo in the gym. I had never heard of the Bowen technique but after a workout Jo gave me a few tweaks and I noticed a difference in my knees. I have had problems for years with my knees and a shoulder injury and just lived with it after the medical profession decided nothing was wrong. I decided to see Jo and after one session I noticed a massive difference in my knees and shoulder. I could rotate my neck as normal despite not realising how inhibited I was. After two sessions I was lunging and squatting which was impossible without pain before. I had my third session today which was maintenance. It’s so relaxing and Jo is so warm and friendly. It has helped me so much and it is such a comfort to know that I have found something and someone to help me if I have difficulties again. I can not recommend Jo enough. Such a great experience. Having just completed a two day Fascia Bowen workshop with Jo I can highly recommend. She is an excellent teacher, combining theory and practice in an interesting and fun way. Plenty of time allowed to practice new skills learned and perfect technique. She encourages reflective feedback and shares previous students experiences that stimulates interesting discussion and adds to the overall leaning experience. Would definitely recommend booking your place on one of Jo’s workshops if you haven’t already done it! More...

Jo is an amazing tutor and when it came time to do my module 5 finals I felt completely ready with the knowledge I had picked up from her. Learning was fun and Jo explains things so well that it seems to sink in without difficulty. I am looking forward to my next training with her and have already booked on to the Fascia Bowen workshop in September. More...

I did Fascia Bowen with Jo last summer in Taunton. Wow and I thought Bowen was gentle. The applications of this form of Bowen are myriad to the extent that it ought to be a compulsory "add on" to the main course. Jo produced clear written instructions, clear oral instructions and was hands on everywhere for the entire weekend. I use aspects of Fascia Bowen everyday and on most clients and am confident to do so. Do this course with Jo - ok, simples, do it. Thank you so much Jo for enhancing my skills. More...

Lots of hands on work not lots of time spent pouring over notes a light hearted fun way to learn. For me this was a real bonus.

Jo has a style of teaching that you don't forget. Her ability to combine anatomical academia with compassion and fun, especially to a bodywork novice such as myself, is second to none. My whole experience of having Jo as my tutor has been one of true guidance, honest feedback , constructive criticism and love. That along with a passion for Bowen and people = success. Thanks Jo Wortley for all you have and continue to do. More...

What can I say about Jo that hasn't been said already? She is, quite frankly, amazing. Teaching skills aside she has a great sense of humour, and is generous with her time and knowledge, ensuring that you leave her workshops and courses able to use your skills, and to use them well. Jo Wortley has treated myself and my family with the Bowen Technique.
The treatments I really want to shout about are when she treated my son for hay fever.
The treatments start before the season begins and we were amazed when in May he didn’t have a single sneeze, usually his life would have been unbearable, in June he had a sneeze or two so had a top up treatment as the pollen season changed.
I highly recommend Bowen for all ages.

Jo has treated both of my sons. The eldest 2.5 years ago when he was just 2 years old and got struck with Bells Palsy a facial paralysis which we were told would just take time to heal and hopefully it would heal 100%. After a few sessions with Jo we noticed a massive improvement in the movement of his face and with in 2 months he was completely back to normal. More recently Jo has treated my 1 year old to improve his sleep which following his second session we saw a massive improvement. He has had his third session today and hopefully won't need any more now. Jo is so friendly and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again or recommend her to friends and family. Thank you Jo xx More...

Q&As

This is truly the best job ever! In fact it doesn't feel like work at all! I am my own boss, and it fits perfectly around my family life. Most importantly it is a profession where I feel truly appreciated ... every day. To be able to make such a profound difference to someone's life is amazing. Occasionally the change is so dramatic it is life changing - it still takes my breath away! With Bowen, it's not me physically making the body do something - it's the body responding to the signals I've presented it with. The human mind and body never fails to impress me with what it can do ... it's utterly mind blowing!

I had kids! What can I say?! I didn't set out to run my own business - I hurt my back, tried Bowen, it blew my mind and the rest is history!

I have over 15 years of experience, I'm reputable and honest - if I don't think I can help you, I will tell you, and if you don't need any more appointments then you don't need to come back! I have dozens of client testimonials available should you wish to see them.

As a tutor, again I have piles of testimonials. My classes are a fun and relaxed environment within which to learn this truly remarkable technique called Bowen. You will be fully supported throughout your training and way beyond!
