Storey Decorating offered a very prompt and reasonable quote for papering and painting my kitchen then came to do it last weekend 08-09/02/2019. They did an excellent job, clean, quick, tidy and very thorough. Both men, I believe father and son, arrived on time both days and were unusually quiet workers (no radio) which I appreciated. They do like their early morning starts, even at the weekends, but they were worth it. I would definitely recommend this company and will certainly hire them again for any future jobs next year. Steven and his son have just finished our living room and hallway. The results are unbelievable, they have done an amazing job, we couldn’t be happier. I found Steven when searching on checkatrade; we were looking for a decorator with a good review as our hallway is half wood panels and it needed to be done right. Steven was prompt in coming to our house and giving us a reasonable quote. His work ethic is second to none; stayed back late to get the rooms completed within 5 days. In terms of the price he charges; I believe in the saying "you get what you pay for" and this couldn't be more true in this case; the decorating is immaculate so the reflection on the actual job versus what we paid I think is money well spent and reasonable. He was very tidy and respectful of our home, both two lovely lads. Would I recommend? Absolutely! Would I be using Steven again? Without a shadow of a doubt! More...

Steven's attitude to his work is "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right". Despite some access and weather difficulties a true professionalism shone through. He's made a cracking good job of our exterior walls and insisted that the gate needed painting (at no extra charge) to "finish the job off". We are very pleased with the result and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who wants a true tradesman finish. More...
