Being a first time buyer the whole process was very daunting, even before I had a deposit, Matt took a lot of time helping me understand the process and often contacted me to see how I was doing. Once I'd saved the deposit Matt was always there when I needed advice, and I needed a lot! He was very helpful and explained things in a way I could understand. Matt went above and beyond in my personal opinion, going so far as to say, he was more helpful than my solicitors. After a rather poor interaction with a.n.other I contacted Matt & Nicola at Sterling Morgage Advice. Wow, what a difference. Matt was so forth coming with information he instantly put my mind at rest. Matt discussed, clearly all my options, put right the incorrect information Id previously been given and discussed the best options moving forward regarding morgages which suited me and my Wife at that time. With confidence restored and finally settling on a property, Matt helped way and above my expectation of his services. He not only engaged with all the documentation, offered solid, transparent information relating to all the pit falls and helped in negotiation in what should have been a straight forward sale but ended up, technically more difficult than first thought. Matt and Nicola @ Sterling Mortgage Advice came highly recommended by a friend who they and members of their family had used before and I can see why. Matt and Nicola both helped me secure a mortgage on my very first home on a Shared Ownership Scheme. Thoroughly explaining everything in the process, and although there were delays in the build of the property, they checked in weekly for updates on the build/handover status, so that when the time came to apply for the mortgage, things were ready to go, and they searched the market one final time for the best deal available before formally applying. They are both very friendly and highly professional people who will go out of their way to help obtain the best product possible for your circumstances, or just answer any questions. Nothing seems too much trouble. I’m so glad they were recommended and i highly recommend them myself and will definitely be going back to them when I look to remortgage/ purchase a bigger share of the ownership. December 2019 my partner and I found out we were expecting so decided to go down the route of buying a house to build a future for our little one. Using a mortgage advisor provided through one of our local estate agents we started our search. With absolutely no communication or support from our advisor, we lost out on a number of properties due to bidding wars. Our MIP was expiring and we started to loose hope, which led to us moving into a rental July 2020. July 2021, with the news of baby number two we decided to try the buying process again; this time we were introduced to Matt and Nicola at Sterling Mortgage Advice. A few questions and some documentation later they found us an even better MIP. The market was extremely slow so viewings were rare but they both kept up communication, checking on our progress and offering support and guidance when they could. We finally found a property and put in an offer October 2021. Although there were other offers places on the property, we managed to secure it with their help. Matt and Nicola kept us updated with the progress of our mortgage application; including us in all correspondence between themselves, our solicitor and the estate agent.
