Stopped here after a walk, granddaughter wanted chocolate cake and ice cream and at £4.75, to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. Very expensive for what it was I had a scone and coffee which were both lovely, and fresh. Trying to arrange a baby shower while navigating covid restrictions was a nightmare but spribgslade Lodge was the perfect and most accomidating venue. Booked while restrictions where still in place I was given options for how to could do it given different scenarios of restrictions. We had to change the date as the mamma goy track and traced and the team where so helpful and changed the date for us late minute. We had many dietary requirements and all efforts where made to accomidate this. The food was great on the day. We had a few nervous guests and the team wore masks and served our afternoon teas on individual plates, socially distanced the tables to make everyone feel welcome despite there now being no obligation to do so. We had my granddaughters 5th birthday party today in the woodland, it was such a lovely party, Kaye had great activities for the children to take part in, including games, a treasure hunt and cake decorating, followed by a lovely hot meal and a drink for them. I cannot recommend Springslade enough if anyone is looking for a place to have a children’s party, brilliant and attentive staff who ensured that fun was had by all, topped off with delicious fresh scones and hot drinks which all the adults enjoyed.
