Services

Spring Healthcare Limited is devoted to fulfilling, person-centred approach in all aspects of a young person's life. We do this by providing a programme to our young people called Transition To Independence. We're a semi-independent living service, looking after young people and care leavers aged 16 - 18 years old (can be extended past 18 if required). This is an opportunity tailored to the needs of each individual. To promote quality of life by "Committing to provide a positive impact in people's lives”

Our Transition to Independence aims to support local authorities. In their duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people looked after and leaving care. This allows our young people we support to benefit from a sufficient accommodation. Therefore meeting the needs of our looked after young people. This allows Spring Healthcare Limited to fulfill, our ethos "Committing to provide a positive impact in young people's lives”

Our Transition to Independence values are a vital factor in improving placement stability. Which in turn is a critical success factor in relation to better outcomes. As we aim to work with the young person and their families/carers as well as all other relevant professionals to find a way forward.

Our Domiciliary (Home) care package supports personal care and domestic duties, as well as getting around your local area. We aim to provide the flexibility of home care. That enables you as a service user to live safely and comfortably in the home you know best. From daily or weekly care visits right through to the dedicated support of a live-in carer, there are plenty of home care services available and even on a temporary basis.

We have round-the-clock care for those wishing to retain their independence and remain at home. Emergency care, we can step in and provide support at short notice or in the event of an emergency. We have different ways to support your care at Spring Healthcare Limited. However if you have more specific care requirements, these can be discussed included in your care plan.

Personal care

- Help with getting up
- Going to bed
- Assisting with washing, bathing, showering and dressing (maintaining good personal hygiene)
- Moving from bed to chair/wheelchair/toilet with or without hoist.
- Shaving hair and nail care
- Changing incontinence pads
- Emptying catheter bags

Domestic duties

- Cleaning and dusting
- Changing beds
- Hoovering Washing upIroning
- Getting around your local area
- Shopping
- Attending medical and other official appointments
- Catching up with friends and family members
- Visiting day centres or community groups – please note that this only includes use of clients’ own care or walking/wheelchair assistance
- Attending a place of worship

Finances
- Helping you to manage your money
- Putting together your shopping list
- Paying bills
- Depositing benefit payments
- Dealing with your finance advocate

Respite care is a temporary arrangement. Where our trained carers for numerous care types including assisted living, residential care, dementia care and nursing care, are able to come and support with your care.

Respite care is also available for young people and elderly people or those that need extra support following an operation, illness or families that need a break with the support of their children. While regular carers take a well-earned break from the demanding duties of being a full-time carer. Our team will be on hand to help out. This type of care is available to keep the recipient at home. Without disturbing their routine or taking them from their familiar surroundings. The service user we aim to support, will receive expert care either at home or the respite home we provide. Caring for another person can be physically and mentally demanding, and much more than purely handling the day-to-day tasks. Especially when caring for long periods at a time, the emotional strain can take its toll. Respite care is there to provide your main carer with a break while ensuring your care needs are met. The types of respite care available will ensure that those receiving care will have their requirements met by our expert carers and management team.

Respite care can either be provided through:

Live-in care: Where the carer lives in your house, offering support and company day and night.
Visiting care: If you need some extra support for a just a few hours each day or each week.
Short-term care: If you have to attend a family emergency or other commitments.
Short Break: Our carers are there to support families when in need of a break. - this needs adding its new

Live-in care can be arranged for a minimum of one to three weeks. We have unique package of support with a dedicated live-in carer. The support in our unique package. Includes having a locally based manager to arrange and coordinate the support you receive and handle any queries or concerns. What does a respite carer do?

Your chosen respite carer is there to do all the things you normally do. They can live in your home or attend on a visiting basis – your care plan is tailored completely to your needs. An individual support plan is created before any care commences to ensure our carers meet all of your requirements.

Your carer’s daily tasks could involve:

- Nursing care, such as carer or continence support.
- Personal care, including dressing, showering, and toileting.
- Mobility support, helping your loved one move around the house.
- Administering medication at the correct times.
- Ongoing companionship and emotional support.
- Cooking meals and fetching the food shopping.
- Housekeeping, including washing and drying clothes.
- Arranging visits out, for a break or to see family and friends.
- Feeding walks and caring for pets if you have any.

Spring Healthcare works directly with disabled children or young people and their families, to support them with their needs.

We are passionate about making a life-changing, positive difference to the lives of disabled children and young people and their families. Everything we do places the child at the centre of our support. Following our ethos “Committed to making a positive impact in young people's lives” our services then focus on providing care, which wraps around the child within their family.

The support we provide:

Spring Healthcare provides short breaks for disabled children and young people, supporting them to access a variety of activities, promoting independence, inclusion and learning, and engaging positive activities.

Whilst working in a person centred way, providing practical and emotional support to the child or young person, to enable them to meet the goals and outcomes identified in their support plan.

Short breaks are on a 1:1 basis in the community and in a child or young person’s home. This can be during the school holidays, evening and weekends.

Our short breaks are designed around the child or young person and their interests and hobbies. During a short break session, we attend different activities such as:

- Child swimming
- Local park
- Car drive
- Picnic
- Sensory play support session
- Trips out and to the shops
- Arts and crafts
- Cooking sessions
- Games
- Sing along sessions
- Befriending sessions
- Play dates with friends of the young person
- Trampoline parks
- Eating out
