We've had Tania on board for 2 months as she's been a big help. I didn't realise how much help with the bussiness and staff HR give. She answers emails even late at night when I don't expect her too and is always at the end of the phone with great advise and the answer, then she just gets on with what needs doing.It's a huge relief having Tania to sort things for us and make sure we are doing things correctly in a professional way and quickly. We’d approached a business network and large bank for a quotation for a similar document and advice but were not happy with the response. Tania came recommended by a family friend.Our workload had increased recently, and we were looking to bring someone into the business that could work as part of the time on a part time basis. We were very conscious of recent legislation and employment tribunal cases involving self-employed workers and wanted to be sure that the person we were bringing in was coming into the business knowing that they aren’t an employee but were self-employed and wanted to ensure that we had a good agreement. Tania kindly gave us an initial consultation over the telephone and we followed up by emails, ensuring that all requirements for the contract were fully discussed. Tania was happy to answer numerous questions over several phone calls and emails to ensure we understood the contents of the document.Tania understood exactly what we were looking to achieve, and we believe that her experience of working in our industry enabled her to identify the pitfalls and concerns that we were having. Tania advised on what work was needed to be done and it was prepared within the required timescales. Reassuring us that the process was going to be quite smooth.We are confident we now have the right information and documentation we need to appoint the Consultant. Specialised HR Solutions came highly recommended as Tania had experience of working with organisations similar to ours. As we do not have an in-house HR professional, we were looking for someone to support and guide us to deal with some priority employee issues. Tania was able to quickly assess our business needs and come up with strategies to help us deal with these issues.Since working with Tania we have been able to tackle disciplinary, performance and grievance issues, process settlement agreements and carry out a safeguarding investigation. I received a one hour consultancy appointment with Tania and she was able to come to my home as I was housebound at the time. I own a small business, Tree of Opals and we make cremation ash and lock of hair keepsake jewellery. I get to support businesses that are doing good for the world and animals. There is no better job for me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to specialise and provide HR support to eco, ethical, organic and vegan businesses, but there were no HR Consultancies or any in-house roles available at that time.
