I am an experienced and qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working from bases in Washington and Christ's Hospital, Horsham.
If you have found yourself at a stuck point in your life and no matter what you try to do it doesn't change or your attitude does not alter, I can help. I work with adults in open-ended way to unpick these stuck points in your life and to understand them with compassion and to overcome them with new ways of being and with new coping mechanisms.

I am ethical, professional, empathic and compassionate and work with you on an individual basis according to what it is you would like to work on. My comprehensive training in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy allows me to work with people at a greater depth.

Initially I will be interested in getting to know you, I will listen carefully to your story, seeking to understand why it is that you have decided to seek therapy at this point in your life. We will together explore what you wish to change in your life and how you would like to be after therapy has ended. If there is a particular issue that is causing distress, the initial priority will be to find ways to deal with the issue effectively.

Following this, I will be noticing how you are in your life. What are your fantasies, motivations and desires? How do you think the way you do? Why do you feel the way you do? I will notice how you are in the room with me and how you are outside of the room in other relationships.

As therapy progresses our work will increasingly focus on enabling you to make lasting changes in your life that will be possible for you to maintain and manage.
