Garage Conversions
Singhsons Builders carried out our garage conversion and were first class from start to finish. They had an incredibly professional manner and treated the whole family with enormous respect throughout. They were hard working and showed great care with all of the work, from the changes of the timber frames in the roof to the high quality re wiring and plastering. I would highly recommend them to any future customer and would gladly have them back in the future. Thank you for a speedy and successful transformation. More...

How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
architect or surveyor will be able to advise you whether your garage is suitable to convert, particularly the soundness of the walls, roof and foundations. Some are too poorly built or decrepit in which case it might be cheaper to knock down and replace.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
arage include:
Making sure the walls and roof are sound.
Floor slab – the existing floor may need to be levelled, damp-proofed and insulated.
Infilling the door – Most garage conversions simply brick up the garage door.
Wall insulation.
Roof insulation.
Windows & doors.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
As a general rule, 2.2m from floor to ceiling at its highest point is the threshold for undertaking a loft conversion. If your loft does not meet this requirement, it's highly unlikely you'll be able to raise your pitch roof, since councils very rarely grant permission to do that
