First of all any structural work such as external windows or doors or footings will be carried out and made secure. Then an insulated floor can be laid to match the floor level of the house. Any plumbing and electrical first fixes can be carried out. The walls can be insulated and drylined as well as the ceiling being insulated if needed and plaster boarded. A brick wall can then be built where the garage door was on top of the new footing. The entrance into the house can also be opened up and made secure. Once these are done the rest of the internal walls can be built, any new external windows or doors can be fitted, second fixing to plumbing and electrics can be done, and plastering can begin. When the plaster is dry skirtings, architraves and internal doors can be fitted and any eictrics and plumbing finished. The whole of the conversion can be decorated and then whatever floor covering can go down. Any new electrics will be tested and certificated and any plumbing tested.
