Fantastic, had our whole wedding there on Sunday! William and Clair are amazing but also the staff! They go over and above for you every single one of them. Nothing's a problem and everything is done to the highest standard cannot recommend this place enough! We had our wedding reception here on the 1st of July this year and it was fabulous! Numerous guests commented on how delicious the food was and the staff could not have done more to make our day and night perfect. They did everything we asked including hanging up a number of banners from the conservatory ceiling! Claire and William were amazing on the lead up to the day and were always quick to reply to any of my queries. William was invaluable on the day itself too, he made all timings run smoothly and his knowledge and professionalism is second to none. Our cinema sign had a couple of bulbs out and he phoned the company to get them out to fix it before I even knew there was an issue. We also have a fantastic photograph of him fixing my husband's flower pin before he left for the church. William really is the Sherbrooke's very own suited superhero! I have mentioned a couple of names but in all honestly, every staff member involved in our day deserves our thanks. We returned last night to celebrate my mum's birthday and again the food and service was outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Sherbrooke Castle to anyone looking for a wedding venue or simply for a lovely dinner/overnight stay. We had our wedding reception at the Sherbrooke just last week and we are still absolutely buzzing! The Sherbrooke could not have done more to make it special for us. Every last detail was done to perfection. They made our guest feel very welcome and accommodated any dietary requirements with no fuss, just went on and done it. All of the staff were incredile but they have an absolute legend working with them. His name is William. He seemed to really care that we were satisfied with how the wedding was going. We accidentally left the top table flowers in one of the wedding cars which had already left about 30 mins prior. Shona mentioned this to him. We weren't too upset about it because we just accepted that these things can happen BUT William got on the case! He managed to track the driver down and had them on our table before we sat down for dinner. The rooms were gorgeous, especially the honeymoon suit. Everyone was more than satisfied with their room and enjoyed their breakfast in the morning. We could not thank you guys at the Sherbrooke enough. We had our wedding here on 20th Oct this year and what an amazing day we had. Not only is the venue stunning inside and out, we knew we were in good hands from the minute we first entered the hotel. Absolute professionals. No question too silly or request too big. William and Claire are an absolute pleasure to deal with and our day really could not have gone any better. And the staff on the day should also be praised. These guys work hard. We can't take about the hotel rooms as we were allocated an annex room. The room was modern and very spacious with lovely high ceiling. It hsd been pre heated and was warm & inviting. Staff were friendly and the full Scottish breakfast was as good as any I've tasted. Next time we stay we'll request a castle room. More...

We had our wedding reception at Sherbrooke Castle on 29th July 2017. It was the most perfect day, the reception went so smoothly without any problems and we have Sherbrooke Castle and the staff to thank for that.
We booked our wedding in February of 2015 after a meeting with George, he told us about the packages and showed us round the venue. We instantly fell in love with the place.
Throughout the planning we dealt with Claire and William – both were great to deal with. Everything was handled quickly and any questions were answered straight away. A great relief especially in the lead up to the day itself.
The latter stages of our planning was mostly taken care of by William. He was absolutely fantastic and if we are being honest we couldn’t have hoped for any better. There was always a genuine feeling of care from him and that he would go above and beyond to please his customer. I’d spoke to William about dropping off some accessories for our reception along with our favours and some overnight bags the night before the wedding which wasn’t a problem. He told me exactly what to do and when we got to the castle the girl on reception was waiting for us to drop everything off.
On the wedding day William was there to greet us as we arrived and stayed with us while our photographs were being taken, if he wasn’t with us he was helping our bridal party with rounding people up and getting drinks. We really felt like he couldn’t have done more for us which we appreciated so much. His professionalism is second to none.
The venue and everything about it was spectacular, all guests I’ve spoken to about the wedding have commented on how smoothly the day went and how much they enjoyed each part of the day. The food was amazing (the best wedding meal we’ve ever had), everyone has spoken about our meal and how fantastic they thought it was, the service from the waiting staff was great as was the bar staff. So many times I’ve attended weddings where staff look uninterested and like they don’t want to be there but this wasn’t the case with the Sherbrooke staff. They were brilliant – a credit to the venue.
The following morning breakfast was great. We seen George who spent some time with us asking us about our day and how everything went. Once again William was there to help us gathering everything together and see us off when we were ready to go.
I think this sums up most of our day but words really can’t express how fantastic we thought William, the staff and the venue and was on the day.

We were married here in March. William Claire & George could not have been lovelier and more efficient. From our first viewing to our checkout the morning after the wedding anything that could have been done for us was. They accommodated the personal touches I’d arranged, and we’re very understanding, working with us to make sure our guest who were staying had exactly the right room for them. The food was amazing and the staff second to none. I could not give a higher recommendation for anyone looking for a venue. So central, yet private. The perfect size to accommodate a wedding without having masses of other guests milling about. We had our wedding reception at Sherbrooke Castle last weekend. We have been a regular customer to Sherbrooke in the lead up to the wedding and we have never been able to fault them,the service they provide and duty of care they give their customers is exceptional.
We had the most perfect day from start to finish and this was made possible because of the full team at Sherbrooke,we couldn’t have picked a better venue and we will continue to be regular customers in the future.

Popular venue for weddings, meetings and first dates, by all accounts. Not where I’d choose personally if I were trying to impress someone special, however, as it’s all a bit ‘packaged’. Reminds me of Stakis circa 70s. Also, in the evenings, the glare from the security lighting outside is a bit distracting from inside the bar. Really nice hotel in a lovely, leafy location. Food comfortably among the best in the city, as is the service. Staff always attentive and both bar and restaurant make tremendous environments in which to enjoy drinks and dinner. Plenty parking at rear of building but can get full when there's a wedding on.
