Q&As

My greatest joy comes from seeing my clients achieve things they didn't know they were capable of! I love working with people to unlock their hidden strengths to help them to achieve what they want in their life and their career.

While I loved working in-house in senior HR and L&D roles, I wanted to spend more time working directly with coachees. Having my own business allows me to spend more time doing what I love.

My clients describe me as an exceptional listener, who balances challenge with warmth, humour and kindness. I pride myself on offering a bespoke, pragmatic service which is tailored to your individual needs.

Absolutely - coaching works really well online via MS Teams. It also means that we can incorporate any assistive technologies that you may use.

I offer coaching services remotely, and if you're based near South Manchester, we could try coaching whilst walking if you'd prefer to be outside.

Services

Career coaching can help you to unlock options if you're wanting to change roles or even your whole career, but you don't know where to start. Unfortunately, I don't have a magic wand to tell you what you should be, or how you can get there, but depending on where you are on your career change journey, I have a range of tools to help you to consider and narrow options, test the water, and take the plunge.

My clients often come to me with a quiet sense of unfulfillment, or a feeling of being rudderless.

Sometimes, they started their career on a particular trajectory, and they feel it's no longer the right pathway for them. Others want to see if the career they dreamed of as a child might still be a possibility for them. Some are looking for a better work-life balance, or to combine several passions into a portfolio.

Some are crystal clear in what they want to achieve next; others are at the very beginning of their exploration, and therefore a little woolly. That's fine - I'm very used to helping people unravel their thinking!

Coaching is about unlocking your potential - using powerful questioning and reflection to help you overcome barriers, raise your confidence, and ultimately achieve your goals. We live in a distracted, fast-paced, “always on” world, and many of my clients find that coaching is the only time they get the strategic headspace they need to make good-quality decisions.

My clients come to me with a variety of challenges and opportunities. Sometimes, they’re crystal clear from the get-go; often, they’re a bit woolly and ill-defined.

Here’s some recent topics from coaching clients:

Newly appointed: creating maximum impact whilst rallying your team around your vision.

Internally promoted: re-defining your identity; working with people who were previously your peers (including those who may have also applied for your job!).

Organisational change: leading change-fatigued teams through long-term iterative change.

Being a strategic leader: extracting yourself from operational activities.
