Where do I begin? Ah yes, that first sip of crisp Estrella, an old friend from my travels to Mongolia in the summer of 2011. Melancholy struck me as the first pint disappeared into the abyss I have come to name my bladder. Intoxication, once a welcome friend, now an enemy. I tried hard to resist the tempting £4,20 for a pint, alas I failed. Day after day I am drawn, attracted to the double doors I can now proudly call home. More...

Good service, good seafood but the bread was a bit tough. They should have more choices of bread to suit different need.

Very lovely restaurant. Loved the authentic feel and the aesthetic of the restaurant and bar, it had a very comfortable and welcoming feel, matched by the friendly front of house staff. Be wary it is small and booking is advised from my experience. Food was wonderful absolutely no complaints, great place for seafood in a country town and executed brilliantly, also not too bad on price either, drinks are a little steeper than normal but you get what you pay for definitely. Wonderful. Great fresh cooked fish. You can see and watch your meal being prepared and the chef gave us a couple of good cooking tips! Brilliant service. Will go back soon. Some of the Beacon staff should go a get a few tips on service. More...

Sankey's is absolutely worth a visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering suggestions on the food and wine pairings. The location on the Pantiles was magical and contemporary at the same time, cosy and stylish. The food, I'm not sure there are enough superlatives to describe the food. We had oysters and mackerel pate to start, the oysters are fresh and crisp with a meaty chew. The mackerel was tangy and generous. Perfect! We then had lobster and seafood pie, both cooked to perfection with excellent flavour and freshness. Coffee and tea to round off a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Please do visit them! More...

Just back from Sankeys on Mount Ephraim for my wife’s birthday lunch. Overall, an excellent experience. The food was very good indeed, the service was first class. Fish was really good but Sunday roasts exceptional. Originally tried to book for this special birthday meal at The Ivy, usually our favourite Tunbridge Wells restaurant, couldn’t get in there, very glad as our view of the best restaurant in town will now be reviewed! The food is amazing here. Wow. The Seafood platter and oysters were delicious. Small intimate restaurant which is great for a romantic date. The lobster is the best we have tasted and we have tried it all over the world. Get down here and enjoy. Service is slow but we weren't in a hurry ❤️? More...

Sankey's have bloody good fresh fish, which basically put Morrison's out of business! Photos of Will posing in Sabratha after Fraser Duncan was proposed to whilst on a Roman public multi seated public convenience. They couldn't wait to get back to Sankeys More...
