I’ve been training with sam to help me rehabilitate from an injury over the last few months. She’s really helped me get to the root of what’s been causing it and created a plan that’s focused on building up my weak areas, while helping me to feel stronger and more confident in the gym environment. I am 54, and after multiple failed attempts to lose weight and get fit, I had resigned myself to a slow decline. I started personal training with Sam 10 weeks ago and I can honestly say that it has been life changing. Apart from losing weight, I am stronger, healthier, fitter, happier and more confident. I've started training with Sam a few months ago. The reason why, out of many personal trainers, I chose her is that she is able to swap between gym exercises and kick boxing, which I love. So although I don't particularly like going to the gym, with Sam I can have fun because I also do kick boxing. Sam has been amazing, tailoring a plan to fit my hectic lifestyle at the minute. Creating a progressive overload fitness plan to push me outside of my comfort zone in the gym and to make the most of each session. In the short time I’ve been working with Sam I have already started to see changes in my body. I am feeling better and more confident in myself and I definitely wouldn’t be at this stage without her! Sam has also been supportive with nutrition and eating habits. She’s always happy to answer questions and provide advice and guidance where needed. I cannot wait to pick back up in April! Since starting with Sam I have really seen my confidence grow! Both in myself and in the gym in general. She has taught me how to push myself in ways that make me feel strong. Sam’s expertise, guidance and encouragement have allowed me to make great progress with my fitness goals over the last four months. After going into the programme with aims to improve my agility and strength for dancing, I have come away feeling better informed about the specific imbalances and weaknesses I need to address during workouts to hit these goals. Sam was flexible and allowed me to take a less weight-centred approach to measuring progress, which I personally really appreciated. She was extremely attentive during our sessions, and never failed to point out and resolve any issues with my form to prevent injuries. Her range of fitness knowledge is incredible and I have gained insights into numerous aspects of a successful pre- and post- workout routine. Samantha, a professional in her field! She won't let you relax during your workout! She will make sure that the exercises are performed safely and of high quality. It's a pleasure to come to her workouts and most importantly we were comfortable! A variety of exercises and a pleasant atmosphere. Sam has been my personal trainer for three months now and I genuinely believe that I have made more progress in increasing my physical abilities than I have done so in a years training alone. Sam has an incredible knowledge of both correct nutrition and technique, giving advice down to the anatomy of what the muscles are themselves doing when you are performing the exercises. Sam always asks me how I’m doing and eating. It is quite nice being able to feel like I can be honest about how energetic I feel as I know it has an impact on my workout. Sam has noticed when my energy has been lower than usual and has accommodated the workouts I’m doing accordingly. It’s been super helpful. Like most people, the last year and a bit have been turned upside down when it comes to my lifestyle and routine. I found myself stuck indoors with minimal exercise kit and no real plan. I had loads of food and beer though so over the months the pounds pile on. I needed to do something as his year I've got my wedding coming up and I wanted to feel better about myself. I'd trained with Sam a little while ago in New Zealand and through her encouragement and workouts I got myself in the best shape I'd ever been in. When I found out Sam was back in the UK, I knew that she would be the best way to restart a healthy lifestyle. I was a little apprehensive at first as I don't have much kit and no gym access, but Sam has provided a great, practical approach. Through regular check ins and tailor made workouts to fit my goals, Sam has provided me excellent support and accountability to keep me on track. I've been training for a little over three months now and the results are already clear. I use to go to the gym sometimes 3 times a day and was a very active member of a running club. Then my life changed. I lost my job, then my husband and went through a bad patch and got the chance to make a new start and moved to Brighton. Having lost my fitness network I got lazy and gained weight. Tried to get back to the fitness and running but when Covid hit it all went downhill. In November 2021 I took control and joined Fitness First and found Sam. She has helped me get my gym confidence back and improve my fitness and nutrition. I’m not the best pupil but she gives me that push and won’t let me get away with any exercise being too easy! And I have loved getting back into boxing. I would highly recommend Sam to get you to your fitness/weight goals. Really enjoyed my session with Sam, would definitely recommend. I'm not a gym person at all but Sam made it really fun with some light hearted banter. She gave me some really useful exercises to help build strength where I've had some issues with my hips and knees before. The boxing at the end was class, she can definitely take a punch on her pads! I'd highly recommend Sam. I've used PTs before and have been with Sam for more than 6 months now, training once a week regularly. Why recommend Sam? 1) Super professional approach and high quality content. My programmes are written down, updated weekly and change every 4 weeks so I know what I'm doing when I'm with Sam weekly, but also what I should be doing when I'm training alone. Every time the programme changes, Sam will take me through the programme I will do alone so I'm super confident about what to do. 2) Able to flex the sessions on the spot when I've arrived stressed, a bit under the weather, or hungover (once only!). This means I can still look forward to a good session but know I won't leave unable to get on with life. 3) Good chat. We often talk about health related podcasts / events going on / nutrition / top tips. And I always understand why I'm doing what I'm doing in my workout. So it makes sense. 4) Reliable. Sounds weird, but Sam is always on time, in uniform, with everything needed to get cracking. My sessions are an hour and we are on it for the full 60 mins. Every session is high quality and I've never been let down. 5) Feedback. Currently, Sam seeks a 2 min feedback form each week. I can use that time to raise anything I want to for the upcoming sessions. Its less relevant now but in the first month or so I could share tweaks I wanted, or changes I would like and these would be incorporated into my plan. 6) It works. My main goal was to build strength whilst protecting and never aggravating a long term knee issue. I'm stronger and my knee doesn't hurt. More...

I’ve been working with Sam for almost a year now. I sought her out because I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and had piled on the pounds and needed to do something about it.
