She met with us several times before the day to discuss everything, and she nailed every single one of our fairly specific requirements for photos! Sally has literally photographed our life journey...from our engagement shoot to wedding photos to our newborn shoot in January for our daughter Rachel. We are so pleased with her work that we return time and time again and have a shoot booked in the summer for family photos. Two things specifically I can say is that when I got married Sally was like a fly on the wall. We have gone to Sally for a number of sessions, including our daughters newborn shoot, a family shoot and our wedding and children's baptism and all our memories made by Sally have been truly magical! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to taking a great photograph? I think it's comprised of three main things. Firstly - Understanding light and being able to control it. Secondly - great expressions and being ready for them! I am a master at hunting down a smile! Thirdly - Of course composition.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I always ask how confident people are with having their photographs taken and what they do or don't like. I want to make sure I understand how they see themselves so that during posed shots I can use my knowledge and training to create an image they will love.
What do you love most about your job?
The best thing about my job is seeing people react to their photos when they see them for the first time.
What inspired you to start your own business?
It's always been my dream to run my own business. During my time at university in Ipswich (studying design) I did a lot of photography and realised that I had been passionate about it most of my life. I sold framed prints and birthday cards and realised it was something I wanted to do. I've been working hard at it ever since!

I work hard every day to refine my skills and get better and better as it's important to me that I give my clients the absolute best and make the experience easy and comfortable at the same time.
It always amazes me how much emotion a picture can evoke, they are so valuable to our wellbeing as they are the only tangible connection we have to a person, place or moment in time. It is my desire to produce amazing photographs that will go on the wall or in an album and be cherished forever.
