I highly recommend SWR Lettings as their staff are all so lovely, professional and empathetic nowadays you don't meet people like them that often and it really does make a difference and makes you think that there are still pure souls out there who genuinely want to help you as as they can. Me and my mom went to a viewing yesterday where the lovely Jo showed us around the property and gave us a great house tour and she made sure that we felt comfortable and she was so friendly and welcoming. I just felt in a safe space and I was so impressed by how genuine she was and the way she made us feel so at ease like we already knew each other. They are not trust worthy especially when trying to get your deposit back from themselves. I kept the flat clean and tidy at all times and redecorate it as part of the agreement,but now they are wanting to take all my deposit apart from £46. 00 from me. They are charging me for cleaning which is £250 and £390 to redecorate . an employee admitted to me that the property had been empty for several months. Just because they dont like the decoration now they want me to pay for it again. even though by law they cant charge me they are trying it on. The cleaning is a joke also as they say the carpet is because of heavy footed mmm that carpet looked tired when I went in. I used this company to rent out my 3 bedroom property in Thornbury, after being recommended them, while we left the country for work for several years. We didn't have any prior experience of letting, but when we spoke to SWR they explained everything very clearly, and gave us all the information we needed to make informed decisions. They supported us throughout the whole process, and everything was so smooth and easy! Their fees were reasonable, and included lots of extra bits that other agents charged extra for - so that was helpful to us. We didn't get the feeling we were pushed into anything, or that they were trying to make lots of profit over everything else - it really felt they wanted to make life easy for us as their first priority. Very disappointed with this company. Found a lovely property myself and my partner were interested in, arranged a viewing for the next day and was told as we were the first, we would get first chance at it. I then got a call later that evening telling me they'd let it to someone else.
