Karen has been brilliant from start to finish. She has accommodated ideas we initially had and has come up with a stunning design which really makes an impact.
Our hallway now looks amazing and we have had so many compliments about it already.
We loved the fact that Karen made it clear that we could pick parts of the design that we loved or go with the whole theme. It was also nice to know that we could do things in stages and that we did not have to do everything at once. This has allowed us to stick to our budget and start with a colour scheme. We are adding more of the other design elements as time goes on.
We love the accessories Karen has chosen, which have been carefully selected to enhance the new colour scheme and existing features.
Karen also recommended excellent tradespeople who were easy to work with and who have done a very professional job. I loved the fact that we had a female painter and decorator who had such excellent attention to detail.
When we were presented with the initial design, we understood what a keen eye Karen has. I had a “wow” moment when I walked back into my house when the decoration had finished. It was a lovely feeling.
I would definitely recommend Ruby Red Interiors to anyone who loves their home and wants to make the very best of it. The finished result would not have been the same without Karen’s wonderful ideas. We would definitely use Ruby Red Interiors again. Thank you so much.

We were a couple with no idea how to add colour to our home but working with Karen from Ruby Red Interiors gave us valuable insights on how this could be done boldly, without being scary or needing a complete “ground up” renovation.
From mood boards to placements, Karen took our thoughts and existing furniture into account. Where new was required she quickly got hold of our preferences and nothing she suggested was too “out there”.
Some of our home improvements (and it is definitely an improvement) were simple but so effective and things we would never have thought of. She sourced innovative artwork and project managed trades which saved us time and hassle.
We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Karen to future clients and feel kind of sad that it’s all done now and there’s no need to see her any more.

Karen was the perfect person to work with: she is creative, responsive, great at listening to what you are hoping to achieve and manages to find solutions to almost every problem. She goes above and beyond. I was delighted with how she brought light and style to what was previously a damp and dark cottage - she saw possibilities where we couldn't and deserves many customers and many future successes. Hiring Ruby Red Interiors to design my property was an easy decision. From the very first consultation, Karen was passionate, knowledgeable and most importantly very patient, putting me at ease instantly.
Throughout the process, every stage was completed at the time stated which helped ease the stress levels considerably. As for the final design, I am absolutely thrilled with what Ruby Red Interiors has produced and it has far exceeded my expectations and dreams. The creative furniture and accessory choices and the clever use of colour have given my property a definite 'wow' factor. I would highly recommend this design practice in the future.

What’s your interior design process?
The very first step is talking with (and preferably meeting with) a potential client in order to get a detailed overview of the project to be undertaken. Once I have that, I talk through initial concepts with the client and build on the design of the project through a mixture of meetings (with the client), research, listening to the client's concerns, presenting ideas in the form of CAD designs (if required) and mood / sample boards.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
As a qualified Interior Designer, I am able to cater for all interior design styles. The job of a designer is not necessarily to continue doing a style they know well but to be open to and knowledgeable about all styles, whether that be modern or traditional, minimalist or eclectic, urban or country cottage. My vast knowledge of different styles, manufacturers and retail outlets enables me to produce unique designs, specific to the individual.
What do you love most about your job?
The part I love most about my job is seeing a happy client! I really pride myself on having a friendly and personable approach; clients have commented on the fact that the process was a lot less stressful than they were anticipating.
I get a real buzz out of presenting a design idea to a client or finding a piece of furniture (or such like) and being met with a beaming, happy face.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My love of design inspired me to start my own business. Not only the love of researching and sourcing specific products but mainly the desire to improve the living (or working) space of an individual. One's environment is so closely linked to one's happiness so I'm glad that my business goes a little way towards improving a person's well-being.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am creative (with budgets and ideas!), resourceful and am able to create innovative designs unique to the individual. I'm only happy when my client is happy so I will go the extra mile to ensure that the end result is a design that my client is happy with and of which they can be proud.
