My first visit yesterday was in the afternoon and it was it was very quiet, so service as expected was prompt, polite and professional. The special menu looked nice, but we didn't see any of our favourites on it so went to the regular menu of which obviously had more choice, the prices were still relatively reasonable though. We had the sharer starter and a main. My only criticism would be that the Phad Thai dish I had chosen was not as hot enough in temperatures or taste, as I like my rather spicy or have some extra spicy condiments to perk it up to my preference. We went last night for the first time as part of a fairly large family celebration. I have to admit I know very little about Thai food and am very conservative in trying new types of restaurants. Had a take away delivered from Royale Thai tonight most of our order was beautiful but we ordered a popular main dish crispy honey chicken chilli when arrived we noticed it was strange. ...the chicken wasn’t crispy and in some sort or weird jam that tasted nothing like honey or chilli...its one of our fav dishes usually we’ve had in many thai restaurant’s so we were very disappointed as it didn’t look anything like the pics we’ve seen on the page and it didn’t taste as nice as any we’ve had before. Went to Royale Thai this evening as a birthday treat to my partner before heading to the theatre. Can’t fault anything about this place, warm friendly welcoming atmosphere, extremely attentive service, delicious food and amazing prices. Had booked elsewhere and was let down when we turned up to find the restaurant closed, after a quick google we found Royal Thai, within 20 minutes of phoning they had a table waiting for our arrival and saved the day. We went to Royale Thai yesterday as a pre theatre treat and on recommendation. We were not disappointed. We chose the happy hour deal which was amazing value at £9. 99 for 3 courses. Our starters were delicious and the soup was particularly good!! Our mains were also yummy and generous sized portions. Full of flavour and that filling that we weren’t able to manage a dessert!
