Having vocal lessons with Andy currently and can’t recommend them enough. Lessons are really easy and accessible as Andy takes his time with you through different techniques and works with you to really achieve the best results possible. Professional staff & facilities! We used Rox Academy for the first time last night for a rehearsal & our experienced musicians were highly impressed by this rehearsal space. This building is being lovingly restored by a team of musicians who clearly understand the needs of musicians & take the time to identify your own particular requirements to make you feel welcome & comfortable. Drummers, although there is a practice kit there you may need to take your own kit to ensure you can emulate your usual sound, but good quality amps & mics are provided & the room is large & beautifully decorated including very plush carpeting which is great for the acoustics. I have practiced at many studios across the West Midlands over the last (20years) and it always taken some time to get used to a practice room and get your sound right. The rooms are either too small or the equipment fails and you lose precious practice time. I decided to give ROX academy a go last week and booked a 3 hour practice. As soon as I walked in I felt right at home. A massive practice room with 2 x Marshall stacks, a beautiful sounding (and looking) ORANGE bass combo, a loud PA and a stage the drummer can show off on! The fact that the room is carpeted is a pleasent surprise as the sounds isn't bouncing off the walls and straight back into the mics causing unnecessary feedback. When we walked in we were greeted by will and Rachel who took the time to show us around the academy and share with us their future plans to bring music back into Halesowen and give youngsters a chance to become budding musicians. It was refreshing to see so much passion and enthusiasm. They were really helpful and even helped us bring our gear in and came into ensure we had all we needed. ROX academy has a great future ahead of it and with people like Will,Rachel, Andy and others this place is going to be the talk of the town. We were so impressed that we've booked back in. As a band we all agreed that this is one of the best sounds we have had. It's easy to get to and as it's on an industrial estate plenty of parking, a stones throw away from the main arterial routes into Birmingham, Stourbridge etc... great work guys the place is starting to really come together now! My daughter Poppy has piano lessons here once a week. The staff are so lovely and full of energy and make anyone who walks through the door feel welcome. There is no high pressure selling you can pay as you go and all of the staff go out of their way to ensure the atmosphere is fun, vibrant and energetic. Tom never puts any pressure on Poppy to practise as he knows she is doing it for fun but it amazes me every week how much he manages to teach her. A lovely bunch of people! More...

amazing young and aspiring team . it's great to walk into a studio where the staff have a drive to succeed and care about music.
