After suddenly losing my mother to cancer I struggled coping with grief & every day life so made an appointment with Rodger Duckworth. It was then I began to realise that my mothers passing had also opened up a lot of suppressed emotions from my past. My experience at Rodger Duckworth has been magnificent. I went with a hand that was extremely swollen and stiff due to an injury I sustained, I was helped with exercises and with manipulation of my hand. I truly believe if I hadn't had this extra help my hand would no where near be as good as it is now and the hospital agreed. Have been treated by Rodger and many of his team since 2000. They have aided my recovery after several operations, sent me off to see specialists when they suspected cancer (which has probably saved my life) and looked after both my daughters when they were injured. I've been to see Rodger with a few pain problems over the years. On two occasions recently, he detected the cause of the problem that was missed by RBH. On the first occasion, after having been in severe pain for a month, I was pain free by the end of the first session because he gave me the correct treatment. On the second occasion, on realising the damage done to my hand following an injury, he strapped my hand and referred me to a hand consultant. If I had followed the advice of RBH I would have needed surgery. I think Rodger is brilliant and I have no hesitation in recommending him and his practice. More...

I had shoulder problem during the Covid-19 lockdown. NHS providers were not offering physiotherapy, despite that I was double jabbed as well as conducting weekly PCR tests for my job. A friend referred me to Rodger Duckworth Physio and my healing started the moment the phone was answered because the lady I spoke to was so polite and reassuring. When I went for my appointment, I was attended to by Salil, a very thorough, thoughtful and professional man. All Covid -19 protocols were observed at all times and I always felt safe with him and treated with dignity and respect. Even the music he played during the sessions was really soothing. Since I was paying for myself, I would have a session, at times 2, before I was sent the bill, which was not much, but just being trusted like that makes one feel valued and respected. After 4 sessions, my shoulder was fully restored like it never had any issues. I will refer friends to Rodger Duckworth any time, and should I need physiotherapy, my choice is set. More...
