About

My name is Reese Manglicmot and I have been playing Piano and Violin for the majority of my life and have performed in a variety of places, from formal recitals and international competitions to more intimate outreach efforts.

I have been taught by some of the best teachers, experiencing a variety of styles from a more relaxed ABRSM-based approach to approaches aimed at professional musical development.

Q&As

My life mission is to make people smile through music and I love my job because I am able to see the smiles from the sheer joy of playing the piano and enjoying music. Sometimes, it's hard, especially when things get rough and a bit tricky, but the satisfaction once a solution has been found is priceless and is a driving force to do more and a further inspiration on top of the obvious benefits of playing and enjoying music.

Ever since I was younger, I always admired my teachers for giving me the support, inspiring a love of music and imparting their knowledge for me as a growing musician, so much that I wanted to become a teacher myself. I do not view this as a business, but more as a moral obligation to allow as many people to experience the joys of playing and appreciating music through the piano.

I am a passionate and dedicated teacher, who is able to offer high level guidance and support to all students at a low price. Many classical piano teachers who teach students who are looking for a career as a pianist offer lessons at £60, sometimes even £120 per hour, but I can offer the same services at £15 per half hour. I do not believe in teaching 'for the money' - I believe in teaching for the joy shared between teacher and student.
