Being a total beginner at sewing but keen to learn I signed up for a Sewing Machine class with Red Thread Studio. I was met with a warm welcome and a group of eager new sewers. We were taking through the in's and out's of the sewing machine while learning how to make our very own pin cushion! Our teacher was friendly, approachable and helpful - no question was stupid!Half way through our 3 hour lesson, we broke for tea and homemade cake. Always a bonus! Before finishing up our pin cushions.Red Thread offer a number of different classes from dress making to knitting ... the list goes on and on. A really lovely place to go into without feeling threatened or silly. Once I build up momentum and confidence in sewing, I will definitely going back to take part in the 6 week dress making course.
