Lovely wedding venue. Beautiful and very warm inside even though it was freezing outside. Food was amazing. Staff were really helpful and very polite. Couldn't do enough to help you.Only thing to let it down was the disabled toilet was disgusting. We asked for it to be cleaned as it was so bad but no one cleaned it. A great shame as everything else was perfect. More...

Lovely place to have a Xmas party in the old riding school. It has 2 floors, ground floor plus upper balcony floor with all the old solid wooden beams. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. More...

It was very interesting. The price was a little high for the few rooms we got to see. Maybe 10 pounds would be a fair price.

Though I feel it is quite pricey to enter the house- £19 for an adult, I think if you're spending the day there, it is worth it. We done the woodland walks for £11 and it was lovely. A great place to bring a picnic. More...

I loved Hatfield House, a beautiful building with very knowledgeable guides in every room who bring the building alive. Unfortunately for us, the weather wasn't kind so we couldn't visit the garden, I would definatley recommend a visit

A lovely house to visit, the forest walks are a great touch (and not much travelled, so can be away from the crowd, while still not going too far), the gardens have quite a bit of variety and many hidden places. Getting the ticket once also allows one to return to the grounds & garden (not the house though) as many times in a season as they like. More...

Positively dripping with history, Hatfield echoes to the machinations of its past residents and their activities. From drafted letters justifying the death of Queen Mary of Scots, to a window into the equally depressing life downstairs of your average Scullery maid! Probably the difference between flashing your eyes at the Baron, and grasping your crucifix at the wrong moment would seal your fate! Ha Ha. Home of the Salisbury's, 21 miles from London. Cafe is pricey, so get the cake with your beverage or you'll get a sour stomach from shock. More...
