Rathskeller

Held a baby shower at The Rathskeller today and it was perfect. The room was lovely, the afternoon tea was lovely and the staff were great, nothing was too much trouble.

Only customers (2 of us) in. Sat outside, waiter was on his mobile phone inside, doing nothing. No menu bought to us, when I went to get menu and sat down he still never returned to ask our order. So we left and sat outside Marriots in the lovely sunshine instead. More...

Had my 21st party at the rathskeller and I was so impressed, the staff were lovely and very helpful, the venue is perfect and I will definitely be returning! Thank you rathskeller :)

I Booked a meal for 24 people and everyone was disappointed with the food from the main menu and will unfortunately not be returning again.

The food, for the most part, was disappointing. My steak for example, was poorly cooked (not to my ordered level, medium rare) and was riddled with uncooked/unrendered fat. One of my friends had salmon which was also disappointing and unfortunately that was the opinion of most of our guests.

We were also largely overcharged. One large example of this was that one couple, who had to leave early, they paid their bill on the way out. But when it came to pay the total bill at the end of the evening, we were told that they had not paid. My friend had to pay £62 for both of their meals. He also had to pay another £28 that was outstanding at the end of the evening. More...

Had a lovely meal here this evening, staff very friendly and welcoming, our food was delicious so much so that we couldn't manage a dessert this time, our main of seared fillet of seabass was a delight
