Jon photographed our wedding in Largs in October. My husband and I both hate having our photograph taking but Jon put us at ease from the start with his friendly and professional manner, and we knew we were in safe hands. When we got the photos back two weeks later we were delighted and amazed at how relaxed we both looked in front of the camera, and we've had nothing but compliments from anyone we've shown them to. We really feel blessed that we found (through a friend's recommendation) a photographer of Jon's calibre and experience, offering such a high level of service, for such a competitve price and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to anyone else. I would highly recommend Ramsden Photography. We had a Christmas photoshoot of our 2 wee boys in Jon's lovely studio in Hillington a few weeks ago. Jon was fantastic with the kids, he has a great friendly manner was very patient with the them and had loads of great ideas for the pictures. He had the kids giggling and laughing which proved to produce great photos. Jon sent us the proofs very quickly and I couldn't believe how many great shots he got. So much so it was a struggle to decide which ones as they were all so good and captured the boys characters. We took our 9 month old daughter along to have some photographs taken in the studio at Ramsden Photography. We were delighted with the stunning photographs of our baby girl! Jon made us feel very comfortable at the photo shoot and as a result Katie was relaxed and happy to be photographed! Jon at Ramsden Photography is just fantastic. From the initial consultation to the day of the wedding we always felt as though he would go the extra mile to make sure that you had the best possible images of the day. I could not praise Jon and his work highly enough. He really listened to what we wanted from our wedding photography and put this into action without being at all intrusive on the day. I cannot rate Ramsden Photography enough. From the start Jon was really accommodating in meeting us and answering all our questions! On the day our photos were captured in a relaxed, fun and unobtrusive way- which was just what we were looking for! The results were perfect and very soon after the wedding we were faced with the difficult choice of selecting our favourites from so many amazing shots! What can I say? An absolutely lovely gentleman with a fantastic eye for a good photograph. We had a very small, intimate wedding and didn't want too much fuss- Jon knew exactly how to capture our day to reflect this and made special arrangements to accommodate a new date when we decided to bring our wedding date forward.

My only criticism of this man is that he doesn't sell himself well enough (just as well his work speaks for itself)- his photography is elegant, understated and truly captures the atmosphere of the occasion. His sense of humour is subtle, relaxed and puts everyone involved at ease. Having my photograph taken is not my favourite activity, but it felt very natural to have Jon around capturing the special moments of our day.

As an aside, and I think unique selling point- Jon supplied us with a memory stick with all of our photographs on it and advised they were our images to use as we wished. He did not push us to buy any further material (such as albums or prints)from him, but his albums are so beautiful we are arranging to have this done by him.

A true artist who takes great pride in his work- I am looking forward to nominations for the 'Vows' awards re-opening so that I can put his name in the hat!
