What do you love most about your job?
I own Radfield Homecare Epsom and Leatherhead, taking care of people within their own homes. I make sure our clients live as independently as they want and can. My priority is their needs, enabling them to live life well. That includes their choices and wishes and the people we employ to support them.
The role of “Carer” is diverse and misunderstood.
I employ Care Professionals. Care Professionals are amazing humans aged 18 and above from all backgrounds and cultures. They are people who want to make a difference, put a smile on someone's face because they made the tea in their favourite cup. Or they laughed at the stories they made up when out for lunch. They sat and listened when no one else would. Great homecare, Premium homecare is about meeting the needs of the client and the Care professional. It is making sure everyone is able to be supported the way they wish to be by excellently trained staff. It is about supporting our diverse community to work together to create a caring culture.
I want to be the change that Social Care needs, where clients and staff are put first equally, where we connect with our community and work with them. I want to enable my clients to live well under their terms, with the right support from the right people. I am passionate about giving back and supporting local charities as well as local need. Care is not just in someone's home it is on our doorstep and we need to change the way it is both perceived and promoted.
What inspired you to start your own business?
“I loved my time as a Care Professional and, despite how well my career in finance climbed, I couldn’t shake the desire to return to a job that I loved and had a passion for. I enjoy helping and supporting people and feel so privileged to have the opportunity to return to my career roots, fulfilling a life long dream of spearheading a profession that provides excellent and quality care for those in the community.”
“When I was 18 I loved providing support, encouragement and companionship to those that I cared for. I dreamt that one day I would be able to open care and foster homes in my community that offered the excellent social care that people deserve. I strongly believe both older and younger generations have so much experience and knowledge to offer one another. By bringing them together, we can create physically active, mentally fulfilling and lasting connections in our communities. At first this felt like a pipe dream, now, through Radfield Home Care I am taking that first step towards making a difference to the lives of those that we meet.”

With out both where would we be. We want to ensure our clients receive the Premium service that they deserve.
We need to change the perspective of all generations to stop ageism and believe in healthy ageing instead. We need to show people that you can live well with dementia and other illnesses. We need to create an inclusive culture between the younger and the older generations.
We can do this with partnership working to create a stable social care system that supports all equally. We need to break down the barriers that exist with in the role as a carer, we need to show this is a career path and a vital one.
We remember the stories we have been given, the lives we have touched and those who have touched and changed ours.
Homecare

For over 40 years, we have been providing high-quality domiciliary care services to individuals across England. We are proud to now utilise our care expertise as an experienced regulated care provider to deliver consistent live in care.
Our live in care service is not age dependent and is designed to meet the needs of those who require more intensive support. We can even create a tailored care plan for couples.
