What do you love most about your job?
I like working with wood and working with something so old and by restoring it to a new looking floor makes me proud of what I do for people, the changes after you sand a floor are incredible, I also like working with LVT where you can use your own imagination sometimes to create visually stunning floors, with boarders, motif's etc. In general any kind of wood flooring makes me happy the different smells you get from different species when you cut it or sand it is astounding. Its a pleasure to be able to do what I do for people.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I always wanted to become my own boss but when i was younger I had to work my way up, gather experience and tools, I did this for about 5 years, working for other company's like john lewis, marks and spencers etc, this gained me valuable knowledge and help to work with customers, I am a little shy but can deal with customers and answer there questions to the best of my knowledge which has become more over the 20 years I have been in the flooring trade. Finally i took the step to setup on my own and haven't looked back since.
Why should our clients choose you?
I feel I am a good honest person who can explain myself well, and be able to explain what is involved in a job I do, telling people step by step what is required, I do not cut corners and tell the customer exactly what they need regarding prep-work, fitting, etc, I am a 1 stop shop so I don't just do fitting, I can undertake all the required prep-work, fitting, sanding etc as required per the job. I do not believe in floor layers who can only do one part of a job and then someone else has to finish it off, this is unprofessional to me. My workmanship is done to a high standard, I work as if I was doing the job in my own home and want the customer to be happy with the outcome of a job.

I tend to talk over the phone and get a grasp of what the customer requires from me, sometimes asking them to send a few photos to get a feel of what is needed, I always go on site to do a free estimate, this to me helps the customer get a feel for me as a person, lets them ask questions which I'm always happy to answer and try my best to explain what is required and if it is feasible for them to undertake the work.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Due to covid I will make sure the customer is happy to see me, wearing a face mask if asked to, and work away from the customers if they do not want to be close, covid hit my business quite hard and I'm trying to build up the business back to how it was before covid, I am the main person clients will speak to and also the person who will carry out the work.
Sanding and Restoration
We offer all types of restoration on wood flooring, whether it be parquet flooring, engineered wood, solid wood, or floorboards.
Preperation work.
We offer all types of prep-work including DPM( Liquid damp proof Membrane) latex screeds, water based screeds, plywood ready to fit all types of flooring over the top.
Fitting services
We can offer supply and fit services on all types of flooring, or just fitting services if customers are happy to provide their own materials. ( as a general thumb, we prefer to advise the customer on what glues, or types of woods etc to use over certain substrates).
Parquet Flooring
We offer a 1 stop shop for your parquet flooring requirements, whether it be a brand new parquet floor or a reclaimed parquet floor, we undertake all prep-work fitting and sanding required to have one of these prestigious floors in your home.
