I work with individuals and couples struggling with their emotional or relational difficulties. It’s human instinct to want to protect ourselves from uncomfortable and painful feelings. However often, the more we avoid or shut down these feelings; the more they tend to persist. As a result, many people feel stuck - be it with their anxiety, depression, anger or sadness. Couples may feel unheard or unable to communicate effectively with their partners leading to a feeling of loneliness and disappointment. This often plays out as an escalation in arguments or distancing onesself from the relationship, both of which are not helpful.
I am a trained psychodynamic counsellor and through our work together we will explore the roots of your difficulties, enabling you to respond with greater awareness to your life circumstances and relationships.
