Frustrated beyond belief. They took over the block management of the block I own a property in and did not send through the invoice for service charges I requested multiple times for months. I asked for a similar pay monthly scheme as I had had with the previous block management company and they said that was fine but the very next time I heard from them was with a solicitors debt collection letter with £400 worth of fees for late payment of an invoice I have still to date not received! It has left me feeling incensed! I intend to get involved in the AGM solely to ensure they are held accountable for EVERYTHING they are responsible and I fully intend to encourage another change in block management company. I cannot understand why we have a brand new companion place with so little experience and poor communication skills. More...

Good morning Mr Edmonstone, Thank you for your review. As discussed in July, we could offer you a repayment plan however the service charge budget had not been prepared for the new financial year so we were unable to confirm an exact figure. Within the service charge demand overview letter along with the budget which was issued to you in September, we again stated we could offer a repayment in instalment option and if this was an option you wanted to take up them we could discuss and calculate the best options and monthly instalment figure. After our demand was issued to you in September we did not receive and communications or payments from you and a further 2 reminder letters were issued to you to which there was no further response, hence why your account was sent to our service charge collection team. The efficient collection of service charge arrears is paramount for the effective running of the site so that is why after sending the demands and 2 reminder letters agency’s are contacted to help recover the monies. I appreciate you note you have not received the 3 pieces of communication from us and we have confirmed we are writing to the correct address, which is strange, so moving forward we will also send you correspondence via your chosen email address, ensuring all methods of communication are covered. By a gesture of goodwill I will speak to the collection agency, stop all further contact and we will pay half towards the fees incurred on your account, leaving you to repay the other half.
