Steve at 'Plumbing 4 U' was recommended to me by another professional as someone who does good work, and he recently replaced the bath in my house. My son had to have a new bathroom fitted in his terraced house and was away most of the time and we live 200 miles away so calling in was not possible. Recently I had to find a plumber for a water tank leak in my loft. I find Steve's contact details on the internet, and contacted him to come, and have a look and investigate the cause of the leakage problem. Steve turned up real quick on the same day on time and spent decent amount of time to investigate the problem. I was very satisfied with his finding and recommendation. He provided me a clear summary report along with a quotation for the required repair work. I was quite satisfied with his professional approach and manners hence decided to assign the repair task to him. He repaired the leakage as described in his recommendation and as per our expectations. The cost wise he was really good value for money. Having used Steve before to make a repair to a custom shower cubicle he was our first choice to quote for total bathroom refurb. From quote to completion Steve gave good advice and he had a particular attention to detail that is often lacking these days. He took our tired old 1970s bathroom with partially divided toilet area to a modern new fully furnish bathroom including taking down archways and making good around difficult uneven windows. He introduces other trades to carry out all the necessary ancillary work and coordinate directly with them to meet timescale. It wasn't the easiest of jobs especially with two young kittens in the house who were desperate to get up and under the floorboards.His working practice was very meticulous and he always made sure things were tidy at end of each day as well.I would be happy to recommend Plumbing4U Ltd to anyone and he will definitely be our first point of call for the next room we are considering having refurbished. We asked Steve to refit our ensuite bathroom. It was very old and dated and in need of a major refurbishment including re-tiling floor and walls, knocking down shower divider wall and replaced with a cubicle, new shower, toilet, sink, radiator and plumbing. Steve did an excellent job and we are very pleased with the result which is a vast improvement on what we had before.Steve’s strengths:-Could advise us well on what was possible.-Very good quality work.-Always very considerate. Always cleared up each day to ensure minimum disruption to the rest of the house.-Friendly and easy to talk to.-Did his best to accommodate requests. I've given Steve 5 Stars, and I didn't do that lightly.If you're looking for work to be done properly, and to a very high standard, then Steve is your man. Our Bathtub, the Basin and the Radiator needed replacing. Steve came along and quoted for the work. And the price quoted, was exactly what we paid. A few unforeseen parts were needed, but, that didn't add anything to the price. Don't get me wrong, if some major work had been required, then of course there would have been additional costs.I watched Steve do all the work and therefore I can honestly talk about his quality of work. I've seen many workmen who appear to be shy, because, you're watching what they're doing. Steve Hart did a wonderful job of installing a toilet in our new wet room. This was not as simple as it sounds because of a botched job by our ex-builders who had installed the waste outlet at a ridiculously low level. Tiles had to be removed and a large hole drilled in the wall for the new soil waste, which then had to be joined to the main soil pipe. A new brick was needed for the obsolete hole. Quite a bit of remedial work was also required to the internal wall, including cutting new tiles.Steve did such a neat job of everything. My shower recently stopped working and Steve first tried to find the make of the old one to replace the faulty part but this wasn’t possible so he brought a catalogue for me to choose a new one which, with Steve’s advice, I did. Steve has completed a Radiator Valve replacement job which required some new copper pipes to get the valve leak to stop. He was very helpful and gave many educational tips too!I also got another radiator to fit a new valve with a drain off so it can be useful for the future. Steve has recently successfully completed the upgrading of three bathrooms for me. The work included general plumbing work including the installation of two new shower cubicles complete with trays, glass, thermostatic shower valves and accessories, two replacement wash basins, new vanity unit, bath panels, basin and bath taps, towel radiator, WC seats and modifying and extending the existing ceramic wall tiling. Steve is very professional, he gave us all details as work was in progress and asked before fitting anything, he has a great attention to detail and is neat, organised and plans ahead. Steve visited us initially on a short notice to see what needed to be done, gave us recommendations and later on a reasonable quote. He then offered us a Saturday slot (as he was busy through the week) and confirmed the quote in writing. Before the job, he went beyond his duties and tried to get us matching decorative tiles for the bathroom. On the day, Steve came in on time (earlier actually and that's even after picking up our new shower that he ordered), replaced the old shower with the new one, replaced missing and drilled through tiles where necessary. The result looks beautiful, nice and neat and one can't tell where the "new" tiles are. He put a cloth in the bath tub so it was protected during the work and there are no scratches anywhere. In the end he tidied up after himself and left us with an invoice, which we agreed to settle via a bank transfer. Later on he registered our guarantee. I got Steve to do a complete refit and retile of an ensuite shower room. He quoted promptly but warned me that there would be a bit of a delay before he could fit it in. But he started the work on the date that he forecast, and it was worth waiting for him as he has an eye for detail, takes you through the various options, and both the plumbing and the tiling are of an excellent standard.
