Plimbley Travel

Many thanks to Steve our driver and Colin our guide on our recent trip to Jersey and Guernsey. The Merton hotel in Jersey was classed as three star but the choice of food at mealtimes was I would say four star. La Trelade hotel in Guernsey was smaller with the feel of a family run premises. The food was not as varied but was nevertheless very good. We had tours of both islands and in Jersey we had High Tea in a very upmarket hotel and we were enlightened by a visit to the Jersey War Tunnels.
During the holiday we learned about the history of the two islands: we saw where Olive Read used to live, Nigel Mansell’s house and where Billy Butlin is buried. We were told how New Jersey in America got it’s name and about the philanthropic activities of Jesse Boot ( founder of Boots the Chemist) and his wife when they retired and went to live in Jersey.
The story behind the “Glass Church” was particularly interesting. In Guernsey we saw the house of Victor Hugo ( the author of Les Miserables ) and saw the Martello towers built during ‘Bonaparte’s attacks on the island.
If you are a nature lover then there was the added bonus of beautiful scenery on both islands.
I could go on. The holiday was worth every penny and the home pick-up service is the icing on the cake. Score: 10 out of 10. More...

We had a fantastic weekend in Skegness last week, I can’t praise Plimbley travel enough, from booking, the pick up at the door, to return they gave a 5 star service. Craig was our driver for the weekend, he was lovely, nothing too much trouble, very polite and friendly he is an asset to the company. The hotel was lovely too, staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food delicious.

all the staff are outstanding they are very helpful and really look after you from door to door I have been on 3 of there trips and have enjoyed everyone I can't wait for my next break also I would like to say about the driver Steve he is so helpful and a lot of fun he really looks after everyone xx

The Monterey Beach Hotel. Lytham St Anne’s .

Just visited the above hotel.

Hotel….Fabulous. intimate place. Small Hotel, family run and owned. Great location for sea/beach and town centre.

Food…Very good. Great portions and lots of choice. Only niggle was having to make the choice off the menu on first day for all the meals for the entire week. Would have preferred to choose daily! The menu was varied and portions were generous though. Food was served hot on hot plates always a great bonus for me.

Room 105 double…..Clean, very comfortable and fantastic sea view. Shower was clean and easy to use on level flooring.

Entertainment….absolutely incredible. Bingo, raffle and then quality performance on all three nights.

Concert room was also the dining hall, the staff were efficient at clearing the tables and setting back up for us to use for drinks and bingo.

Staff were absolutely first class!

Bar was easily accessible and service was prompt.

Waiting Staff we’re extremely polite and friendly.

Pick up from home was so easy and cross over to coach was effortless on our part.

Driver Steve is brilliant at knowing or getting to know his passengers, going around everyone to check all was ok and then sorting any problems (there weren’t any) or requests. Joined in with all fun except the dancing. Great sense of humour and extremely good at his job.

Excursion were ideal for all.

Pit stop on way home to lovely little type garden/coffee shop/ clothing outlet/bakery/butcher/veg was great. Hope to return.

The coach was always clean and comfortable.

We look forward to joining in all the fun again and have booked another trip while on this holiday. More...

Got back from Cenarthen yesterday after a long weekend ,
Steve our driver ,absolutely fabulous driver and such a lovely man and his wife Rachel who is also a lovely lady , kept us entertained on coach and updated Imformation of where we was at all times.
Myself and my step father been on many trips and holidays with many coach company’s before BUT plimbley travel are absolutely Outstanding on all counts ♥️♥️ Thankyou to Steve and Rachel for making our break 👍👍

We have just returned from our first holiday with Plimbley Travel and it definitely won't be our last. We stayed at the Belgrave hotel in Tenby and travelled with the excellent Steve and Colin. It was a pleasure to stay at a hotel where every member of staff we met were friendly, efficient and genuinely committed to ensuring that we enjoyed our holiday. The hotel offers lots of choices on the menu and the food was very good. The virtually all inclusive was a definite bonus too. Our room, though not overly big, was immaculately clean and comfortable. Our driver Steve and courier Colin were good fun and very knowledgeable about the area. Special thanks are due to both for getting us home safely in Storm Eunice. More...

At this moment in time two of us are at Tenby, at the Belgrave Hotel. Our coach driver Steve and his Co pilot Colin have been fantastic, with days out and such high driving standards. Totally professional , second to none service from start to finish .
Steve our driver was excellent , goes that extra mile for all his passengers to ensure that they get the best out of their holidays. So friendly and helpful, gives every attention to detail , an outstanding and valuable member of the travel team !
Our trip to Isle of Wight was fantastic value for money , the Trouville hotel was excellent ; the service aswell as the food.
We will definitely be booking further trips and holidays with Plimbley and I will be recommending it to anyone wishing to book a coach holiday.

We have just had a week in Weymouth, 30th August to 4th September. We live inRedditch and we were picked up from our door then taken to join the coach at Hopwood Services. The coach was immaculate and so comfortable, we had 2 day excursions, we really enjoyed our week, and Plimbley you have got everything so organised, we just relaxed and enjoyed every minute.
Now to the driver, no it wasn’t Steve 😄 it was Craig, a lovely man and so helpful. Thank you Craig. We will be using Plimbley Travel in future.
