Went to Playhouse to take on their Metre Pizza challenge and was very satisfied with every aspect of my visit! The staff were so friendly and accommodating from the minute I walked in. The manager Leslie was so incredibly friendly and helpful and took time out of his busy schedule to talk to me about their challenge and their restaurant and made sure I had everything I needed. The food was delicious and the pizza was perfectly cooked. As I was eating a Metre of pizza I can’t really complain about portion sizes either (and the fact mine was on the house means to me it was incredibly reasonably priced! 😂). The other awesome thing about Playhouse is their arcade which has a brilliant selection of games from arcade cabinets to air hockey and their RC raceway is the absolute highlight and so much fun! What started as a lovely night, with nice cocktails and great pizza was tainted considerably by one of the severs on the bar. The male members of our group went to the bar and ordered a round of drinks, to which the particular male bar tender in question, responded with homophobic remarks and asked 'Did you know that ordering that makes you gay?' Really shocked and angered that this is even something I have to write a review about, particularly because when this was discussed with the manager, we were simply offered a free round of drinks and a 'oh that's really annoying' comment in response ... think that the other staff missed the point and there was a worrying lack of concern over the homophobic comment made. It's a real shame as this could have been handled much better and we would have left feeling differently. I got the distinct feeling that because none of our group were gay themselves, that they didn't understand why we were unhappy with the comment. We had a great time at the Playhouse today to celebrate my son's 13th birthday. Delicious pizzas, tasty drinks and amazing games meant that we all had a brilliant time.

We had an afternoon of bottomless pizza and unlimited drinks…. The pizza was incredible, the drinks were amazing. The games were great as well- when we had a slight issue the staff were on it and fixed it straight away with no issues! We had a great time and will definitely be back soon!! More...

As a whole the food, staff and venue were awesome. My only three criticisms are: Not enough Arcade games, (although there is loads of space) PH does not accept cash what so ever. (can’t really use Covid as an excuse anymore) The arcade machines are overpriced and card only, which incorporate a handling fee per transaction. (Good for PH, bad for the customer) Games that should be £1.00, cost you around £1.75. I used my Debit card that much in short succession, Lloyds contacted me by phone to ascertain if my card was stolen. With my family of 4, i couldn’t help feeling ripped off, as i am no stranger to Bar/Arcades. I spent more on the arcade than on food and drinks. Some would argue that’s good business, however in the long term this would in my opinion deter customers to return. Perhaps mimic the business model of “The Arcade Club” in Bury, a flat fee is paid on the door and the Arcade is on Free play. Your food and drinks would be a perfect compliment. More...

Another member of staff was helpful too and helped us when we got in a bit of a mess with the dance mat - thank you. Fantastic place to have fun in Northampton! We had the bottomless brunch, cocktails were amazing and pizza was so tasty, love how big the slices are! Will definitely be returning as many times as I can! Great for groups, families and date nights! I heard about Playhouse from a friend and visited with my family and friends. We all had a blast playing the games, especially the Raceway upstairs(great fun). Cocktails and the metre long pizza were amazing and their hot honey dip was out of this world. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be going back. Kids loved it and are allowed in until 8pm. Fun for a Day trip in Northampton. Pizza was Ok could be have been good if cooked long enough. Had slices over hours all seemed to be slightly undercooked.
