This hotel is a lovely little gem. Wasn’t sure what to expect but checkin extremely smooth. Room was on ground floor at rear looking over gardens. Lovely and quiet. Bathroom had obviously recently been refurbished and was beautiful and very functional. Room was cosy and clean but slightly older furniture etc. Not anything wrong with it at all. We stayed one night at this hotel as we were picking our granddaughter up from Edinburgh Airport. Most of the hotels around Edinburgh were booked up or very expensive [coming up for the fringe festival and the tattoo] It did not take long to get to Edinburgh from the hotel. The Family room was a good size ,the beds were comfortable [we all had a good sleep] .The breakfast was good, would stay here again if in the area. The only negative thing was the room decoration could be done with a freshen up . More...

This Hotel had the best breakfast of my 14 day trip. My room was clean and had a new bathroom, really stylish. The Hotel is about a thirty minutes walk from the town center in a quiet neighborhood. I would stay here again.

The room was fabulous, one of our favorites of the 9 we stayed in while in Scotland. Its nice that they have a bar and two restaurants and the staff was very friendly, the food, however paled in comparison to other places we dined in Scotland.
