Piranha got together our Tshirts for an expo in double fast time after we were let down by our regular supplier. They were great quality and just in the nick of time - we have now ordered some bags with our logos printed on them - Piranha always have great communication and great branding! Would highly recommend these guys.

Direct to Garment (DtG) T-Shirt printing or digital T-Shirt printing is the process of printing full-colour images onto garments. DtG can be used on light or dark coloured garments. Using the latest printing technology and top quality DtG machines, we can print full-colour images onto a wide range of T-Shirts, polo shirts, hoodies and other clothing.

Unlike Screen Printing, which can include expensive setup fees, Direct to Garment (or DtG) printing is perfect for short runs of full-colour prints onto a wide range of clothing. Piranha Promotions DtG services produce high-quality printed clothing rapidly making it the perfect for printing fashion, promotional, stag and hen do and sports teams clothing.

Direct to garment printing, also known as DtG printing, digital direct to garment printing, digital apparel printing, and inkjet to garment printing, is a process of printing on textiles and garments using specialized or modified inkjet technology. The two key requirements of a DtG printer are a transport mechanism for the garment and specialty inks (inkjet textile inks) that are applied to the textile directly and are absorbed by the fibers.

Transfer Printing is the process of printing your designs onto special transfer paper and then applying the transfer paper onto the t-shirt or garment using a commercial heat press. It enables full-colour images to be printed very quickly and is a great option for promotional clothing.

Heat-transfer printing, also referred to as thermal printing, thermal-transfer printing and thermal-wax transfer, uses heat to transfer an image from wax to an object. Thermal-based printing methods work with pre-printed images on a single wax sheet or produce printed-on-the-fly images made by layering wax dye onto an object. Heat-transfer printing can replace or supplement alternative printing methods.

Heat-transfer printing works well on paper, but it excels in applying images to a range of materials that include garments and textiles. For example, a heat-press T-shirt maker transfers an image onto a piece of fabric. Heat-transfer printed images are durable, heat resistant, adhesive and water resistant. Heat-transfer printing can be used to print on physically hard objects and acrylics like coffee mug.

Heat-transfer printing is more useful for some printing situations than others. When applied correctly, heat-transfer printing produces high-quality, colourful prints of photo-realistic images, which makes it useful for digital photography prints. Heat-transfer printing works well for adding or customizing prints on fabrics such as athletic uniform numbers. Because heat-transfer prints are durable, they work well when the printed object is exposed to the elements. Heat-transfer printing is a better long-term solution than using direct-thermal printing, which is known to wear out.

Embroidery is the perfect way to customise your staff’s uniforms and creates excellent brand recognition. It uses a single colour thread and stitches which re-create your design perfectly. This allows us to create an accurate representation of your brand or company logo.

Embroidery is an excellent technique as it’s ideal for all types of garments from corporate clothing, uniforms, workwear and any other types of clothing you can think of. From large organisations to small businesses, clubs to individuals – embroidery is the perfect way to customise your clothing and ensure that your brand name and logo is represented perfectly.

Embroidery is the process by which a design is sewn onto a garment using a computerised embroidery machine. The process gives a highly professional long lasting appearance and is suitable for text or logos. We use modern industrial embroidery machines which give a professional finish.

In order to produce an embroidered logo, we have to manually redraw the logo in a format which can be read by an embroidery machine. This conversion process is known as digitisation. Plain text in simple fonts is easier and therefore cheaper to. Embroidery digitising is the process of converting existing artwork like a company logo or team emblem into a stitch file that an embroidery machine can sew on a garment. Before any design can be embroidered, it must be digitised once a file has been digitised appropriatly, it can be reused for countless further reprints without any aditional caharges.

Screen printing is also a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of polyester or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance. Ink is forced into the mesh openings by the fill blade or squeegee and by wetting the garment, transferred onto the printing surface during the squeegee stroke. As the screen rebounds away from the garment the ink remains on the garment. It is also known as silk-screen, screen, serigraphy, and serigraph printing. One colour is printed at a time, so several screens can be used to produce a multi coloured image or design.

Before printing occurs, the frame and screen must undergo the pre-press process, in which an emulsion is ‘scooped’ across the mesh and the ‘exposure unit’ burns away the unnecessary emulsion leaving behind a clean area in the mesh with the identical shape as the desired image.

Screen printing is one of the most popular methods of printing and it’s the most widely used method of t-shirt printing. It is a process that involves pushing ink through a woven mesh stencil onto fabric. The stencil opening creates the space through with the ink will go, to create the design. The ink is then pushed over the mesh, pulled by a fill blade or squeegee. As the blade is pulled, the ink is pushed through the mesh, onto the garment

Dye sublimation works well on light shirts or fabrics. It cost to produce a dye sub but in the end, the customer ends up with a professional done shirt by experts.

To bring out the best results in this method, you need to have deep knowledge in dye sublimation. Dye sublimation is perfect for printing polyester like cream fabrics. They are unforgiving when you bring cotton fabric to the scene.

You will need a special type of dye which is liquid. The liquid dries up when it meets the polyester fabric. When it has dried well, it solidifies on the fabric, then you can apply heat and pressure for sublimation to take place.

When the solid fabric is exposed to heat and pressure it turns into gas. The fabric molecules then expand and the gas sips between the gap that appear in the cloth. In the end, the molecules contracts again when you remove the heat.

Dye sublimation is excellent for printing polyester shirts with minimal enduring designs. Shirt done through sublimation are durable and looks cute.

In this method a special soft clothing is cut into shapes or designs, then transferred to a shirt.. Then these special designs are then placed onto the t-shirt using the heat press method.

With this method, you can print one-off designs and even produce them in large numbers. It is the best alternative for printing multiple garment types.

Vinyl cutting machine gives you the options of using different layers to print different colors of a design. Vinyl cutting is used in designing sportswear, slogan or small graphics.

However, it suffers from one thing: They are letter-types parts that you can’t use with it. T-shirt printed through vinyl cutting are durable.
