Phil is an incredible designer, thoughtful, considered and inspirational in equal parts. His knowledge of plants, soil types and a flair for design make him very good at designing gardens from scratch.
He came and looked at our garden, listened to what we thought and then came up with a series of design ideas which we then evolved with his input. Phil then sourced plants, and eventually came and planted them all himself and took great care in doing so.
I cannot recommend him to highly!

The garden had become a bit neglected over the last year and needed a rethink on design. Phil gave a design that fitted well with what I was looking for. He took into account the type of things I was looking for in a garden and I was pleased with the draft plan he produced. I was briefed on progress with the design plan and met the team that Phil planned to use for the landscaping. It was fun watching the new design come to life and I now have a garden that is a pleasure to sit in and have family and friends’ round to see and relax in, just in time for summer. What do you love most about your job?
Working closely with the client to create a design brief by firstly understanding the nature of the garden in its current form, then to understand what specific needs the space should meet/service, once complete. Once the basics are established the main focus is to create a design that reflects the clients personality, as well as the internal and external style of the property. It is very rewarding when the client looks at the final design and it firmly ticks all of these boxes.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I enjoyed a long and successful career culminating to managing a flagship business specialising in corporate, export and diplomatic sales for 10 years in the heart of Mayfair.
Following the arrival of our first child and then the start of the pandemic, my wife and I took a step back and decided to make some changes to better suit our growing family and changing lifestyle. Design always remained my passion, primarily landscape architecture and design. Deep down I never gave up on the idea to one day retrain and realise my dream career of setting up my own design studio.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am currently completing a garden design diploma at KLC College of Design and 18 months into my studying I am now enjoying working with clients, sharing in their passion, and bringing their garden design vision to life. I am also a student member of the Society Of Garden Designers, which has been an invaluable source of learning material and has provided me with access to industry leading best practice for garden design. I am very focused on providing a consultative approach to the client experience and my 20 years in client facing roles has been invaluable to successfully delivering this.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes - I can provide a seamless end-to-end design service for clients remotely. I would ideally require a detailed survey of the site in question if the design is to be accurate however, a design is still possible if measurements are provided, along with the location of any trees, drains etc. The final design may require adjustments once the professional on-site contractor/landscaper has accurately measured the site prior to work commencing.
