What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Alcohol. Just kidding! There are specific tracks which work for certain types of event, but a lot of DJing is intuitive. You can get a feel for what is going to be suitable and the kind of music the crowd will enjoy from arrival and throughout the course of the night. Obviously experience also plays it's part. The more weddings, birthdays etc you have played at, the more you understand how to keep people dancing.
Having a discussion with the client beforehand with regards to musical preferences is also an important part of the process.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
My DJing style is focused on quality. I don’t do tacky mic chat between every song, but I do deliver clear and accurate announcements and am able to interact with the crowd on the microphone when I feel it’s appropriate. I play close attention to the crowd to ensure the music being played is just right. Volume and lighting is monitored throughout the party, and I do everything I can to make those in attendance feel like getting on the dancefloor and leave the event happy.
What do you love most about your job?
I love when people are happy come the end of any event I have played at. That gives me major satisfaction.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Since a young age I have been a bit of an Entrepreneur. I used to regularly DJ in nightclubs and was often asked for recommendations for Weddings and the like. That led me to start Perfect Party DJs.

I work tirelessly with clients to ensure the party is a success. You can have as much or as little input as you like, but the option is there to let me know exactly what you want. My experience of working so many different crowds over the years means I am able to read exactly what music works when it comes to getting people up, dancing and enjoying the night. I try and bring both knowledge and passion to every event as well as a level of ability on the decks that you rarely see from Mobile DJs.
