I love being part of your journey. Seeing someone with a big goal that they don't know how to achieve and helping you break it down into manageable chunks. I love seeing nervousness replaced by confidence and then ultimately success.

The company I worked for helped millions of people and whilst I was an important person in the overall team that enabled that to happen, I felt too far removed from the impact that the company was having. I knew that I had a skill to make a difference and I wanted to use it in a more direct way.

I become completely invested in your journey in your goal. I'll want your chosen outcome almost as much as you do and I'll use my myriad of skills in combination to help you achieve what you want to achieve. There's not set way, just the way that is best for you in that moment.

Everything that I do can be (and is) done remotely or in person. For clients where there is an ongoing working relationship (for example coaching), we can blend face to face and online to suit your preference and you'll have access to support between visits via email.

I switched all my engagements to online during this period. For my channel swimming training sessions, we adopted PPE and rigorous disinfecting to maintain a safe environment.

Services

I have chosen not to deal with typical areas like addictions or weight loss.  I’ve chosen to specialise in those point issues that many of us acquire from time to time.  Phobias, mental blocks – those sorts of things.  I tell people that it tends to take 2-3 sessions to resolve an issue, but that you should expect to see a difference in a single session.

I have found that most things have a common root cause and that is that there is a part of us that is trying to protect us, the problem is that the way that the part protects us is actually causing us an issue and not protecting us at all!  What we do is look for a way to fulfil the same protection need but in a way that doesn’t get in the way.

Hypnotherapy works best for binary issues - i.e. when you have a single well understood challenge to resolve. Where there are multiple issues or a feeling that you know that you need support with ‘something’ but you can’t quite put a finger on it, then I would recommend a breakthrough session.

This is a bit different to the more traditional therapeutic hypnosis where I direct the hypnosis. With a Sports Performance Hypnosis package we have 5 sessions. In the first session we’ll discuss the areas of sports performance that you would like to benefit from the most and I teach the client you how to do self-hypnosis. Examples areas of focus include:

Improved self efficacy (judgement of own ability)

Improved self-talk

Mental imagery

Feeling like you’re putting less effort in without actually changing workload

Creating a peak performance state

Increased muscular strength

Mobilise effort & strength on demand

Recovery & injuries

Create a sporting mantra

I’ll provide you with a tailored plan and give you example of where scientific studies have proven the efficacy of the approach. You’ll be given written information and guides that you can continue to use once our sessions are done. I will take you through all the materials and train you so that you can effectively use them.

A big bonus is that you’ll know how to do self-hypnosis which you can then go on to use in as many different ways as you see fit.
