What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Anyone can point a camera and click a button. In portraiture, the art is in getting the expressions out of the subject in a way that's not forced. I aim to make sure everyone who sits in front of my camera is comfortable with me and the environment - which massively improves the resulting expressions captured. The best photos are taken when you forget you're having your photos done.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
This depends on what type of photography we're after. If it is a headshot for an actor I would ask questions such as "What type of role do you think suits you?" or "What roles have you been in before that you'd like to do again?". I can use this to inform how I might light and pose the actor when it comes to taking the shots.
If, for instance, we're after some property photography, I would need to know the location and size of the property and what its intended purposes are. Is it to sell the property? Is it for an inventory? Is is just for personal use? Are lifestyle images needed? Is it for a magazine?
What do you love most about your job?
I love working with people. Honestly, I spend a fair amount of time just chatting with my clients. This enables me to understand what they want out of the experience more and also allows the client to feel more comfortable in front of the camera.
I also, equally, love walking out in the city alone with my camera and capturing the beauty of the world. Being able to show others how I see things is a beautiful experience. On the other hand I have some photos that I adore but I've never shown anyone or uploaded them. Those photos are just for me and that's what makes them special.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Do what you love right? No one wants a photographer that isn't passionate about what they do. If you're just clicking a button and just churning out photos you're not proud of then you're in the wrong profession.
Why should our clients choose you?
I go out of my way to make sure my clients are happy. Before the shoot, during the shoot and after. I am professional but easy to talk to, not to mention passionate about my craft. My delivery time is usually within 24 hours.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Turns out you actually don't need to get within 2 meters of someone to take their portrait. For indoor shoots, I always wear a mask and sanitise my hands. My camera and other equipment are frequently cleaned.
Headshot Portraits
Contemporary and clean headshots for any industry that needs it. For actors, estate agents, profile pictures and the like. I will come to your home or space with a mobile mini studio to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. We'll spend some time relaxing and chatting as I believe this is the best way of capturing headshots that are the truest and best version of you.
Portraits
This can be full-body, mid-body, or headshots either on location or in a studio setting. I offer a mobile mini studio service, so I can come to your home or space to ensure you're as comfortable as possible. We will go for a coffee to work out the best shots for you and the best time (and light) to shoot in. This also ensures you are comfortable with me and therefore comfortable in front of my camera - so we can capture the best possible version of you.
Property Photography
With over five years in the industry shooting for estate agents, hotels, spars, bars, clubs and others, I can paint your space or interior in the best possible light.
I offer a fast turn-around, with fully edited professional photos usually delivered within 24 hours. I take extra care in properties but I am still Public Liability insured for up to 1 million.
Architectural Photography
Several years in the industry of taking architectural photos of interesting buildings. We can plan and work around the weather the ensure that the building comes off in the best possible light.
Shooting is fast and can often be done the same day. Editing is also fast and is usually delivered within 24 hours.
Product Photography
Recently completed a 70 product shoot for the ring company Orbit Rings, using a close-up studio and professional lights.
