Otterclean started well but then the cleaners kept arriving late consistently and they were not cleaning for the full hour and half that we agreed. One time, the cleaners did not arrive since their vehicle was broken down. This is understandable and I agreed with the owner that they can do the missed cleaning the following week. However, the owner decided to change the cleaning schedule without agreeing with me (his communication was not clear and transparent) so I ended up twice waiting for the cleaner to turn up which they did not. Paul, sorry you feel so strongly about this. As you can see from our many very happy customers, this was a one off hiccup as I explained to you. We are far from unreliable, as the reliability and flexability we offer is one of our strong points. For the sake of any other customers seeing this review stick out compared to all our 5-star reviews, what happened is that yes we had a cleaners car break down which was unavoidable but this was communicated to you as soon as we were aware. And we shifted your fortnightly schedule forward a week so they could come the next week and you wouldn’t have to wait. The week after that they correctly didnt come as it was the off-week but you didn’t realise this and were expecting them (it was communicated and i did explain but i think that was just genuine missunderstanding that you thought they would come on 2 consecutive weeks). Then the next week they came on time (10 minutes early) but you mistakenly thought they were late as you were referring back to an old communication before we both agreed via email for a later time but you had forgotten you agreed to it (via email). I updated you at every stage and we didn’t charge you for the missed clean when it was our fault (car broken down) or even when it was your fault (expecting us at the wrong time and then sending them away at the right time). It feels silly to have to write this all out when we already discussed it all and i explained all the above to you and its not great that you try to tarnish our reputation when the facts are that the only mistake on our side was a broken down car and the others were your missunderstandings. I’d have rather you continued our direct correspondence instead of putting a missleading review one here. Once you went to the effort to raise it on here it was important for our small business and our cleaners livelihoods that customers are aware of the details so they know this is not an accurate review.

Our general service is that we use customers products and equipment. But where needed we do offer a service where we bring our own for only £1 per hour extra.
