OPTIMUS REMOVALS

Beware of all the fake unverified reviews posted by Optimus themselves, all on the same day.
I used them for a move recently and like the previous reviewer said, they quoted me 6 hours for the move. When I queried this and mentioned I didn't want any additional charges, the person who came to survey my property assured me this wouldn't be the case. She said they are very experienced and based on what she can see the move would be done in 6 hours because I didn't have a lot of stuff.

What a lie that turned out to be. The workers kept asking me if they could take breaks and not realising Optimus was charging per the hour (and not sticking to their quote) I kept on saying it was fine.
They damaged my furniture and when I complained about it having discovered it 3 weeks after the move their response was that I had 7 working days to let them know about damage. How on earth do they expect me to have gone through all the packed contents of a 4+ bedroom in 7 days! Ridiculous! Avoid like the plague. They are underhanded and untrustworthy. More...

I would not recommend this company at all as there is nothing professional about them. I hired them on 25.06.2021 and what a mistake that was. They upset me so much on a day that was meant to be a very happy and exciting day. I endlessly kept telling the company that I have a lot of items to pack but was assured that it is not a problem and the packing and move would be done in 6 hours. What a lie as the move ended up taking 14 hours. The weather was terrible for a few hours so they could not unload the van and the removal guy moaned constantly about the amount of packing they had to do even though I had already done the majority of the packing. Do not think for one second that your items are insured as they are not. I had one item missing and 3 items damaged in transit and with constant emails and phone calls to the manager he has refused to do anything about this although the damage was reported 5 days after the moved. They have ignored my emails and dismissed this matter and know I have to replace these items although they should have been covered in their so called insurance. I ended up paying nearly 3 times more what I was quoted. Finally to end the day of moving the last thing the removal man said to me was that this is the worst job they have ever done (nice welcome to my new home) and by this point I was physically and mentally deflated. I’ve moved recently using this company.
Totally happy with the way they did their job. Everything was packed nicely and securely, they dismantled our furniture and helped set it up again in the new place. The service was excellent, I’m very proud with the decision made when I booked with them.
