We had OPA (Peter) for our wedding photo's 30th September 2016. We were extremely happy with our photo's & Peter's attention to detail on the day, he started with us at the hairdressers before hair & make up took place and believe me that was no easy task to make us all look beautiful. He started at 10.30 am & didnt stop until after the first dance in the evening. I wanted somebody that would take natural photo's of our guests as well as the usual family one's etc. He took 832 photo's all together some black & white, some colour, everybody has commented on how prfessional they all look & we have struggled to select one's for the album because they are all so good. The only thing i would say is, i had a long train on the back of my dress and I didn't feel this was positioned right in photo's, it may of needed to be laid out to the side or in front on some pictures or a photo of just me in the dress with a front & rear view. However saying that, the rest of the photo's made up for it. Thank you OPA for making our day special. More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
There is no great secret to taking a great photograph. People photography, for me, is all about connectivity. That may be an interaction between two people, or the connection between the subject and the camera. Once the subject is relaxed and comfortable, the photograph will be great. My aim is to be at the right place at the right time to capture the relationship you have with your guests and also make sure you feel comfortable enough in front of my camera to be yourself.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
In my opinion the best photographers are those who listen first and ask questions later.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting new people, whether that be a couple planning their wedding, parents looking for commemorative photographs of their growing family or business owners looking to improve their online visibility with professional headshots. People are fantastic creatures and each person I meet is intriguing in their own way.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've had a love of people photography for a number of years and developed a passion for learning about techniques using natural light, studio lights etc. I was also fascinated by the connection some photographers are able to encourage with their subjects to produce startling portraits. Images that convey a multitude of emotions in a look of the eye, the curl of the lip or other little nuances. It was then that I realised that the biggest advantage a photographer can have is the ability to build a relationship with a complete stranger, and then expose that person's character through photography.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because I'm a bit weird but great with people! I'm as passionate about creating wonderful images for you as you are in having them. There are various forms of wedding photography being advertised at the moment and some photographers call themselves "contemporary", "modern" and "journalistic". If, like me, you struggle to understand exactly what they mean, and simply want a professional, reliable photographer to create memories of your wedding, family or other event that you can cherish for a lifetime, then I'm your man!
