What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Continually visualising and conceptualising everything within the surroundings. From the lighting to judging the subject's best features to bring the best out of the photo.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
The main question asked is "What do you want?". From that question, I'll probe enough to obtain a clear vision of the client's request.
What do you love most about your job?
I can create content, and clients are really satisfied with the work produced. This pushes me to love what I do even more. I started with an entry level camera and upgraded to a professional one - I love what I do on a daily basis!
What inspired you to start your own business?
The honest answer - I was fed up working full-time. The money wasn't terrible, neither were my colleagues; management was the worst part of every job I've worked (excluding Apple - they're fantastic!). Working full-time didn't grant freedom and flexibility. I found it hard balancing photography with my other passions. I had to let one go - full-time work was a no-brainer. Granted I don't get a confirmed amount of payment every month, I'd rather risk everything for what I love.
