Oksana Williams Hair & Makeup Artist

Unfortunately, Oksana has made a racist remark by posting me as her "Indian Bride" on Facebook and Insta. Then went on to tell me that I am being sensitive and making an issue. However, all brown people are not Indian. I am Mauritian and Hindu. The response I received after pointing this out was shocking and showed nothing but ignorance.

She also made a mistake when picking a artist to help our at my civil ceremony, and yet blamed me for telling her this ruined the day for the mothers as there hair had fallen apart during the civil ceremony when they were simply sitting around and makeup had to be re-done by us. This helper was her choice and as a business person she should not be blaming her client for when her decisions goes badly. Plus, they both arrived significantly late to the venue which had a knock on affect on getting dressed and photoshoot time, not the mention the bad hair of mothers in all wedding pictures.

I never posted such a bad review but racism and calling all brown people Indian is where I draw the line. More...

Oksana is amazing! I never ended up doing a trial with her, my schedule and flexibility just did not allow me to, but she had such wonderful raving reviews that I trusted it would be ok. And all her reviews were so right! She made me look like a princess as well as my maid of honour Misha. Being of Indian origin, it is hard to find someone who can easily match your skin tone, yet without any trials Oksana was able to do so. We were absolutely amazed with the results and really do recommend other brides to give her a try! Even before I met her, she was so professional and so nice! I highly recommend using Oksana! My thin hair is a challenge and I’ve been searching for a good hairdresser in Berkshire/ Buckinghamshire area for a looong time. After today’s hair cut and styling done by Oksana I can certainly say : the search is over. Oksana is experienced, professional, has amazing technique and personalized approach. For the first time in a long time I felt that the stylist was listening to my ‘hair concerns ‘ and gave loads of practical styling advice.
