Lovely hotel. Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Our room needed some TLC but was ok. Beds could do with being King size or bigger as doubles are so out of date now as well as being too small. Any modernisation needs to be done in sympathy with the building as it has a lovely feeling and character. Will definitely be back. More...

It would have helped greatly if the address was correct on Expedia, as it was extremely difficult to find, Due to the fact that the Hotels true address is in NORTHOP, not Mold. I drove approx 15 miles looking for the venue. More...

Lovely hidden gem and arrived off Ferry at 2am - lovely night receptionist Mike made sure I got to room safely as there was an outside dooor access to my grou d fllor room - great for me and my Westie! Lovely grounds for a morning walk and outside breakfast and cheerful happy staff. I spied cleaning staff doi g a thorough cleaning job on hands and knees going Under furniture and beds - amazing! The lovely day receptionist gave me history of building and tips for local sites. Do this journey regularly and we will be back. Rates a bargain for this type of historic and characterful building. Staff make it worth the stay alone. More...

The hotel was conveniently located for us visiting North Wales and family nearby. The room was spacious and clean. A kettle with tea and coffee were in the room along with a TV. An iron and ironing board was also supplied. Toiletries were provided. A shower over the bath had plenty of hot water. The building looks lovely from the outside and has an amazing staircase. We did not eat here but the restaurant area and bar area looked lovely. The hotel has lots of car parking and there were outside picnic benches. The only thing I would have liked is more hangers/hanging space. The two coat hangers and two coat peg rails were not very suitable. The doors on the corridor seemed noisy when other guests were accessing their rooms late at night. Yes I would stay here again. More...

Driving up towards the hotel it had the look of somewhere that could be a great place to stay. That, turned out to be just about right. Checking in was a pleasure and everything went perfectly smoothly whilst the gentleman who checked us in was very polite and welcoming. The room was very nice and had everything we needed. Even though we were at the front, with a lovely view, it was not noisy at all. Breakfast in the morning was very nice indeed. Coffee and a cooked breakfast set us up for the day. The two ladies who were serving were very polite and friendly. Checkout again was very easy and smooth and once again the staff were very helpful. But, I do have just a couple of negative comments. Firstly, although the room was very nice it did look a little tired and could do with a freshen up. There were some worn areas on the carpet and cup ring marks on the furniture. Secondly, after returning from breakfast it was a little surprising to see housekeeping had all the new towels and linen on the floor outside our room ready for when we checked out. We may not have been leaving straight away but it made us feel like we needed too. But, on the whole, a very nice place to stay and the staff a extremely polite and friendly. We will be returning to Mold in the next couple of months and will look forward to returning to the hotel, hopefully there will be NO negative comments next time. More...

The hotel is in a lovely location, has great food and really nice staff. It is a great looking building and must have been excellent in the past. Sadly it is in need of a really good overhaul which I doubt the volume of business would warrant the cost of. However, the price makes this more bearable. More...

Large hotel, set in the country, very nice, but a bit dusty, and the sound of the nearby A55 may be a distraction for some. Wins with staff though, who are all a credit to the hotel. More...
